Our experience was extremely disappointing, Everything was served cold, which significantly affected the overall quality. Unfortunately, this was a very unsatisfactory visit, and we likely won’t be returning to this restaurant in the future.

During a recent visit, I ordered takeout from Guru, and the experience was unfortunately unsatisfactory. The food lacked flavor and was excessively salty, failing to justify the cost. I recommend New Hope Spice Lover as a superior alternative.

THE best Indian food in a 30 mile radius around Newtown!

Vegetarian options: Love the Malai Kofta, Papdi Chat, Palak Paneer, and Samosas. All the vegetarian dishes are delicious.

Door dashed twice this week. Meat is back on the menu. The food is amazing. We had samosa, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, and chicken makhani. All so good. They even gave us something free both times. Highly recommend! Spice level adjusted perfectly based on request. So much flavor.

They have a great buffet. I believe it's new this year, I've been there a few times now and every time there's something a little different during the buffet to keep it interesting. Good bang for the buck for sure

I ordered lamb spicy lamb biriyani today, this was the worst biriyani I ever eat. Rice was kind of sweet and taste bad. Just eat couple of lamb portion and I throw it away.

I ordered the spinach chaat, which turned out to be extremely dry and bitter. The vegetable noodles were overly sweet, drenched in sauce, and quite oily. While I appreciated the complimentary soup, it was also far too oily. I usually don’t write reviews, especially negative ones, as I prefer to let things go—but this experience was hard to overlook. This didn’t feel like the quality I’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. Honestly, save your money; you’re not missing out on anything by skipping this place.

Fabulous food, vegan options, attentive, service, reasonable prices, and nice patio in the summer.

We usually order takeout during the winter because the lighting inside the restaurant is so obnoxiously bright that you feel like you need to wear sunglasses— especially in the bar area.

Please Guru’s: turn down the lights. Some ambient lighting would make such a huge difference. :) Thank you!

We dined at Guru’s for lunch today, and I must say, our experience was very disappointing. The food was the biggest letdown. The chicken was stale and dry, and many of the other dishes, including the rice and curry, didn’t seem fresh. It was clear that the quality of the ingredients used was subpar. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory outing, and I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant in the future.
