Don’t order from here. I had a pickup. They tell you total and then even if you select no-tip, it adds the tip automatically. Shady services
My Response to owner’s response:
1) Cash refund was not issued at all, I asked why tip was added and the person said “it’s how system work and he said “he just work here and doesn’t know why it does that “
2) it’s not about money. I am always ready to support local business. I am not worried about $6 tip: but wrong is wrong.
3) refund was issue by you next morning after review was left previous night . So saying refund was issued and confirmation on file is another shady way to protect the reputation.
My review is not about your food or small business value but the way this case was handled. There is no confusion on payment screen.
Hope this review would allow you to do honest business going forward.
Food was good though

Updating my review to recent months. I don’t know what happened, but 4 years ago, the food used to be excellent and samosa chaat was delicious! Fast forward to a few months ago when we went again. The food was terrible and samosa chaat had a totally different taste. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant anymore. It’s unfortunate but it’s gone downhill with the new cook.

Bland and very non impressive food We had great expectations based on 4.7 reviews. Disappointed with the entrees. Channa Masala watery and just boiled garbanzo beans. Butter chicken just chunks of chicken breast in half and half. Avocado Chat lumby avocado in stale pani puri. Saving grace was Veg Manchurian. Methi lamb had no methi and in spite of requesting Indian Spice HOT it was bland. Naaans were fresh and good.

It was very very disappointing. It was my first time and the food was horrible to the extend I had to thrash it. Chicken 65 which was suppose to be dry and fried. Its was like curry watery with onions tomatoes and did not taste good at all. The chicken biryani was not at all good. The rice was not cooked well and it was like both were cooked separately and mixed adhoc. Who ever is the cook should reconsider their profession. They are ruining the Indian cuisine. Sorry for this harsh comments. You guys need to get your act together.

Absolutely Delicious – A Must-Try!
My husband and I went to Dosa Guru two days in a row, and we were blown away both times! The Rawa Masala Dosa was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor — truly one of the best we’ve had. But the real star for us was their sambar — rich, comforting, and incredibly delicious. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite. We highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven’t already. It’s a hidden gem!

Delicious. Excellent service. Adorable 10 year old bus girl... gracious and hard working! Quite busy on Thursday night dinner!

Our experience was extremely disappointing, Everything was served cold, which significantly affected the overall quality. Unfortunately, this was a very unsatisfactory visit, and we likely won’t be returning to this restaurant in the future.

During a recent visit, I ordered takeout from Guru, and the experience was unfortunately unsatisfactory. The food lacked flavor and was excessively salty, failing to justify the cost. I recommend New Hope Spice Lover as a superior alternative.

THE best Indian food in a 30 mile radius around Newtown!
Vegetarian options: Love the Malai Kofta, Papdi Chat, Palak Paneer, and Samosas. All the vegetarian dishes are delicious.

Door dashed twice this week. Meat is back on the menu. The food is amazing. We had samosa, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, and chicken makhani. All so good. They even gave us something free both times. Highly recommend! Spice level adjusted perfectly based on request. So much flavor.

They have a great buffet. I believe it's new this year, I've been there a few times now and every time there's something a little different during the buffet to keep it interesting. Good bang for the buck for sure
