While the sandwiches were very good, they would have been perfect if they had made the ones we ordered. The hoagie came with oil, vinegar AND mayo. Mayo was not ordered. The sandwich was so soggy that it was impossible to take a bite without the insides being squeezed out the other side.
The roast beef, Swiss on rye with mustard somehow morphed into a turkey, ham and cheese with mustard on rye. While the sandwich was thick and tasty, it was the wrong sandwich. We’re a bit too far to just pack everything up and run back for a do-over. We ate everything anyway. Oh well.
Update: The owner reached out to us and replaced our sandwiches. They were fantastic, as always. We will be back, and often as they are a fantastic sandwich shop, and with responsible ownership. Anyone can make a mistake, but not everyone corrects it.

Couldn’t ask more from a Steak Joint!
My 7 month pregnant wife was sentimental and was craving a Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak made the Pittsburgh way with tenders instead of chicken steak and topped with Fries and melted American! The staff did not have to go out of their way to make this kind of a modification but they did. Everyone I spoke with was very professional and kind. The prices were extremely reasonable and the food was great! The key to a great Cheesesteak (anyone who knows anything will tell you) is the Roll and Steak and Hoagie Factory have got it down! Thanks for making my pregnant wife’s night y’all!

Best steak sandwich in Newtown!!!! Full-flavored, tender steak, in a filled-to-the-brim fresh torpedo roll with all the fixin’s! Very friendly folks that are running The Steak and Hoagie Factory in Newtown - by far surpasses its predecessor Slack’s Hoagie Shack of Newtown. I was glad I gave it a try and will return to check out the rest of the menu!

Been a long time customer of Steak and Hoagie and this was my 5th time at the Newtown location. We ordered our usual lineup, including hot wings. These wings had zero sauce on them. Absolutely horrible.It was such a disappointing experience. For the amount of money I spent on them, just to throw them away, I will not be going back. 😔

Ordered food at 5:30pm. Was told it would be 45 minutes. Showed up to pick it up 45 minutes later and was told it would be just a few more minutes. I ended up waiting 45 more minutes for my food. Called and spoke to the manager about compensating me and he stated he could give me a $20 store credit. I told the manager that because of the experience I didn’t ever want to come back so a store credit didn’t help me. He stated that he couldn’t give me money back because I paid with a credit card, but I could come back and he would give me cash. I declined that as well because again, I really don’t want to go back ever. I had my kids with me, which made it even worse. I will never go back to this business and would have given 0 stars if I could. We got home and some of the food wasn’t even hot. I understand that sometimes people call out and things get backed up, but there were people who had come in and gotten their food and left while we were waiting. They didn’t bother to give any updates on when our food would be ready, just kept us waiting. I’ve worked in food and retail my whole life and it was extremely clear that they just could not manage their orders properly. Awful experience.

Stumbled upon this gem as I was paying my bank a visit. Stopped in for something to eat, I was indecisive and did not know what I wanted. Mike was at the front, he greeted me the moment I walked in. I was not ready to order, and he was very patient and allowed me to take my time. He then made some recommendations while pointing out their special for the day. The Burger was delicious, the fries were great, and the meal came with a free drink. All of this for under $9 bucks. Staff was very friendly and the place looks nice and clean.

We had a great lunch. Food was yummy. The manager was super helpful with my food allergies. Staff was friendly, and place is super clean. I think this will become one of regular places!
