Although the food, service and atmosphere were excellent, the prices have gone up. Before you could order a dinner that included soup or salad. However, now it is ala carte. We had veal parmigiana and there was very little sauce.

Pizza was burnt and incredibly soggy and salty. Zucchini was good. But tiny marinara provided with it. Soup not bad but price versus portion was a bit over the top. I would drive to Alta via

**Michael A's Review**

Years ago, Michael's Italian Restaurant was renowned for its exceptional food, great value, and generous portion sizes. While I never experienced it during its heyday, my wife and family were regulars before it closed. Fast forward to 2024, and my wife and I decided to give it a try.

We prepared by reviewing the menu beforehand, ensuring we knew what to expect. We ordered the classic pasta with meat sauce and chicken marsala, one of which included wedding soup while the other was à la carte. The meal was accompanied by bread and a delightful dipping oil. The wine and beer selections were impressive but on the pricier side.

Overall, this restaurant offers a casual yet upscale atmosphere, appealing to an upper-middle-class or upper-class clientele, free from any unruly elements. However, our experience was a one-time visit, as we found the value lacking. The pasta was priced at $24, and the small portion of wedding soup cost $8. It felt like they tried to reinvent the traditional recipe rather than sticking with the classic version—good, but not exceptional.

While the wine selections were noteworthy, at $10 a glass, the costs quickly added up. If you're curious, you might enjoy your visit, but don’t expect it to resemble the restaurant it once was. In our opinion, it falls short of being a good value.

Classic wood fire pizza with strong service and a beautiful redesign. If you haven't been here I'd definitely check them out. ( make a reservation)

Michael Michael A's has turned into one of oakmont's premiere restaurants. The food and service were amazing. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was the best I have had in years

Wish our experience had been the same as other reviewers here, but we were very disappointed. Service was poor. After receiving our drinks, we waited a long time before our order was taken. Our salads were served before our appetizers. After that, we waited a long time (with dirty dishes in front of us) for our entrees. The entrees were nice and hot. Two of us had the classic meat sauce which was good. Another friend had the lasagna, which was served with an upside-down can of béchamel sauce that the server emptied on top of the lasagna. Gelato for dessert was good. Again, we had a wait to get our checks and pay. We noticed that several tables nearby had turned over while we had been there, For the two of us, the bill was $105 before tip. We enjoyed ourselves but felt the quality of service and food didn't line up with price on a Wednesday night.

New owners. Overpriced average food. Great waitress. Other staff rude. Girls (4) night out. Total with tip over$240. Asked to leave after hour 45 min. Told to leave needed table although no one was waiting. An older man fell going out the door and laid on the sidewalk and staff just watched and he was not helped up. Will not come back. Will not recommend.

Great new space same old out dated menu and food that is over priced and lacking in flavor and creativity. Space is cramped and very loud. had to scream to talk to my wife who was sitting next to me. Do not recommend and will not be going back anytime soon.
