Michael A's Restaurant & Lounge

Not often a place gets worse after a renovation but they fully accomplished that here. Food price went up and the quality went way down. Chicken parm was once a dish we would go out of way to visit and enjoy but now you are better off at any other family Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh. Soup tasted like it was watered down and flavorless. My wife got Alfredo pasta with chicken and the chicken looked like they boiled it, you couldn't find a speck of spice or hint of flavor on it. Shame that an old favorite has been turned into what it is now.

Great dinner at Michael A's. We shared the Caesar salad, zucchini and chocolate cake and had the Linguine & Clams and the Classic Pasta entree's. All were delicious. The portions are generous and we were able to take a lot of leftovers home.

For the love of god get their Crispy Caesar Fries

What a forgotten Gem! My grandfather used to take his large Italian family here for Mother’s Day. After he passed away we lost the tradition. Fast forward to 2025 and a craving for a good Pizza and Italian. A friend reminded me of Michael As and it will be our Go-To for a Friday night pizza(s) or to satisfy our Italian hunger! Staff is fabulous and somehow the food is still superior!

Wonderful atmosphere....great decor....and the menu choices were amazing. We each ordered a cocktail and then ordered a specialty pizza...which was so delicious. Evern the bread service presentation was perfect AND delicious. Our server, Christy, was lovely...very attentive and efficient. We will definitely go back again.

Service was great . The zucchini appetizer is light and amazing . The chicken Romano was very good

Made a reservation for 3 in upstairs dining area. Arrived and told upstairs was closed. We were seated in a back table, across from the kitchen. Steak was supposed to be aged beef, but was terrible - griddle fried, tough, fatty. Definitely not aged beef for $52 with no sides included. Service was very slow. Never received the second drink that was ordered. We should have walked out the door the minute we were seated given the environment.

Can’t say enough good things about Michael A’s. The portions are huge, the wood-fired pizza is amazing, and the chicken parm is a must-try. Friendly and fast service. A local favorite for good reason!

STOP LETTING ONE MAN BUY ALL THE RESTAURANTS IN OAKMONT. Michael A’s used to be delicious but as soon as “ Mr. Own It All” came and bought it up, it’s now serving the exact same trash as his other restaurants. They have removed tried and true favorites from the menu and doubled the prices. Just another local restaurant that had the soul sucked out of it 🙄

Veal Marcella and Chicken Parm were both very good, along with my Italian Moscow Mule. A little overpriced I would say (but what isn't these days)

This food was fabulous. The portions were huge and the marunara sauce was to die for. We were in baseball.attire and not dressed up but they happily sat us and fed us untill we were ready to burst at the seams! Delicious and very friendly wait staff

My wife and I, along with another couple, had a delightful experience. I had the Michael A's classic meat sauce with rigatoni and loved it. Friends had eggplant parm, which was delicious, and a pizza that was also scrumptious. Only dish that was disappointing was the greens and beans.  We had a wonderful experience and will be back.

We brought family that were visiting to this restaurant and enjoyed our meal and the dining experience. Our server, Vinny is always kind, attentive, and helpful with menu suggestions. Thank you Vinny!

The food was amazing, shout out to the fried zucchinni! Drinks were equally impressive. Will definitely be back.
