“It's a really cute coffee shop. Their coffee and lattes are delicious. They have some homemade syrups for lattes. There are also different kinds of biscotti. We were visiting Oakmont and looked it so much we decided to go here every morning.”
“Every time I visit family in Oakmont, we make several trips to Brr-Kee's. There are many reasons to love this place. The ice cream flavors are plentiful to choose from and excellent regarding temperature and taste. The sundaes and cones are always very good for the folks liking the normal portion sizes. For the professional ice cream connoisseur, you really should try the large banana split. You can have them swap the usual vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors for any flavor of the day listed. Check out the picture of this bad boy. Takes me back to the tasty freezes of a bye gone era. Also, the fact that they are open year round is a huge bonus as many of us enjoy ice cream in the colder months.”
“If you haven't been to this bakery, you have to go...it's worth the cramped parking and crowd. Recommend checking peak times if you're short on time.”
“Golfers are familiar with The Oakmont Country Club.Well for those who are not familiar, allow me to introduce you to The Lot at Edgewater an OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT with OUTSTANDING CUISINE also OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE and OUTSTANDING CIGAR LOUNGE UPSTAIRS!!!!!Does it seem like I am over exeragating.... trust me....I am not! While you're at it order the Tomahawk Ribeye..... it will change your life! The Disabled Vet”
“I grew up in Oakmont. Alot of memories at Hoffstot’s. My grandmother loved their homemade blue cheese dressing. In turn, we loved their blue dressing too. Hoffstot’s had a delicious homemade dressing with a ton of chunky blue cheese crumbles. DELICIOUS. Needless to say, this last visit with the Kraft blue cheese was beyond disappointing. Our bartender, Shawn, was a total doll. We LOVED him. Also, we LOVED the chicken parm. Just as I remembered.”
“Sweet little gem, off the beaten path in Oakmont back behind Speedway. Family run business with good food and friendly people. Has sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, pastas, and full meals. Full bar.”
“This is my local deli! Quality and portion size for the price makes this easily my favorite sandwich spot/choice in the area. The people that work there are also super friendly. My faves are the ‘Big Dan’ and ‘Cajun Ruben’!”
“Great establishment! I recently tried the 3 day juice cleanse and enjoyed it a lot. The drinks taste great, help reduce inflammation, and are an easy way to consume fruits and vegetables. Highly ”
“This was my first time picking up at this place. As soon as I pulled up in front of the building a blonde headed lady came out and greeted me and told me how to get to the back of the building to the dock. She waited in the back alley to make sure I made it around the building she was so nice. I only wish all the places that I pick up from were is nice as she was.”
“The food was very good. The service was very nice and the workers were very friendly. The place was small, but the environment was nice, I would recommend coming here.Kid-friendliness: They were very nice to everybody, especially the kids.”
“Not 100% sure about atmosphere because I mostly order delivery or pickup.. but I’ve been inside waiting and it’s nice! My wings were cooked perfectly and the cheesy bread was delicious ?? granddaughters got an order of mozzarella stick and said they were good.. definitely my go to wing place!”
“This is def my fave local subway location. I’m not sure what her name is and I’ll def make sure to get it next time but whoever was your closing employee 4/8/24 has once again done an amazing job. She makes sure the orders are what the customer is looking for exactly and really goes out of her way to do so. She’s such an asset to your team!! She has given me an exact same experience a few months ago when I told her that I had ordered a sandwich from the McKnight Road location and had a really horrible experience. She went out of her way to make sure my sandwich was exactly what I was looking for. And did so again tonight, even though I came in really close to closing. I really appreciate her and I hope she gets the recognition that she deserves.”
“This is one of the best Chinese Restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. Their homemade dumplings are tender, delicious and juicy. I've had at least ten different entrees and every one of them were delicious. My favorite that I order on a regular basis is their General Tso's Chicken, white meat and extra spicy with shrimp fried rice. I highly recommend trying this hidden gem.”
“Gianna was my waitress and she was fast and efficient! I got the pub salad with mesulin gorgonzola red onions marinated tomatoes and the protein was grilled chicken with a lemon vinaigrette.. WOW was this good ❤️ I was also in a bit of a hurry so I only ate half. That's where Gianna sprang into action. She had everything at my table in minutes. She was great and so was my salad that I ate later that evening. I will be back and do highly recommend!!”
“Been to this location many times and overall a very nice, clean experience. If there is ever an issue with my order, they take it right back and fix it. Very nice staff, and overall a great place to stop if you're in the area! ?”
“Shared an amazing pitcher of a peach beer, ordered the zucchini planks, and mushrooms. Everything was amazingVegetarian options: I had the zucchini planks and fried mushrooms. Large portions!!!!”
“It's a nice place for a drink. I personally didn't get food the only time I went but the portion size is nice and big from what I saw other people have. It's a two story building with a dance/club area up top. It's a nice weekend hangout.”
“Wing nights on Wednesdays! Large variety of flavors and wings are cooked with a nice crispy skin. They are "dings" and served 6/flavor.We also got the fresh cut fries which were really good as well.”
“Carnavore's was very nice the food is great we ordered the appetizers. The kitchen was opened late which is a plus everywhere closes kitchen at 9-10pm they were still serving food close to midnight. Nice place to go and watch sports no matter which angle you look there is a TV. They also have a lottery machine you can place your lottery and not miss the game!! Me and my babe ❤️ had a terrific time and great service and very clean!!”
“This place is one of...if not THE BEST restaurant in the area. Food was amazing with so many choices with such great textures and flavors melded together. Service here is impeccable and the ambiance is perfect. We will definitely be back for more if we get a reservation.”
“I grew up in Gibsonia, and moved into Squirrel Hill a decade ago. It makes me so happy to see a place like this open up, and bring a different type of food to the area. I went here with friends tonight, and was so impressed with everything. The service was great, the owner is so sweet, and I can not talk more highly of the food. This is a huge asset to the area and I wish them nothing but success.”
“I come from a Mexican family in California, so when I moved to Pittsburgh, I was deeply disappointed at the lack of good, authentic Mexican food. When I found this place, I rejoiced! The food is amazing: made with the authentic basics in mind, yet refined with originality. It really feels like home in all the best ways.”
“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!”
“Very very good, small curated menu with lots of freshness. Very good service, alekhya was extremely sweet and gave good suggestions.Had a great time.Vegetarian options: Yes”
“Do yourself a favor and order the potatoes, they are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The bread is amazing as are the other Italian baked goods!Dietary restrictions: There are several baked goods labeled nut-free”
“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!”
“We Finally made it after seeing all the post online. Would first like to say the staffing was amazing in answering any questions prior to ordering also letting us sample the brisket before adding It to the burger ( it was excellent ). The dry rub ribs and homemade BBQ Sauce is BY FAR the best I’ve had anywhere in PA or in my life actually. It wasn’t until we were leaving we found out the staff( Kenya , Marquis and Nigeria ) were not part of the ownership . That’s how much pride and they took into the establishment ( hard to find now a days )…So the owner did great choosing his staffing !. Between the service and food we will gladly be spending our hard earned money here over and over again ..Place is a hidden gem in a small town that people need to make the trip for .. You won’t be disappointed”
“A great hidden spot, you might miss it driving past but once you come you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it. Great seating, even more so now that they added a covered and heated exterior.”
“They were super sweet and the music was too loud where I couldn't hear my friend talking across the table and she kindly turned down the music. I would highly recommend this little café!”
“I can’t even put into words how bomb these tacos were. I had the pork shoulder and chorizo. Devoured them within 2 minutes. Amazing. Just go and check them out.”
