“This place is wonderful I have been now maybe 7-8 times and I have not had a bad experience customer service wise everyone is nice and the food is wonderful I was iffy coming at first because it was like ehhhh it’s just hot dogs their specialty hot dogs are amazing the Dallas dog is my favorite the the Pittsburgh street yinzer is good it turned me into a fan of coleslaw all the toppings and food blend well together on the hot dogs if I had to rate it out of 5 stars it would be. 5 I always grab at least 3 hot dogs and pizza fries the pizza fries are marvelous I love this place and I will continue to come here forever”

“A very small restaurant tucked into a corner in Springdale. On a recommendation my wife and I tried it. The food excellent - I asked to medium spice and they delivered. My wife doesn't like spice and she loved her dinner. We were the only dinners so we had excellent service, friendly, thorough and well done. We will be going back soon.”

“When brunch plans with a good friend fell through, she suggested Ladles, a restaurant enjoyed by her family members. The vibe is very old school, with dark wood paneling, tables and booths. Light in the dining room comes largely through a cluster of windows at ceiling level. But once you get over the dim setting, you'll find an inventive menu with an attentive staff. There are affordable lunch and specials, mostly under $15 with a focus on Italian food.
The sandwiches are creative and fall in the $10-$20 dollar range. When you move into the entrees expect an additional $10 charge for many of the items. There is an emphasis on lobster and Italian dishes.
The name Ladles comes from the multitude of fresh soups offered daily. I chose the wedding soup; it probably was the best I've ever had, creatively seasoned with fresh greens and homemade mini meatballs.
I got an entree which was built around a delicious homemade crab cake with so much lump crab it was almost overwhelming. My companion went with a chicken in lemon sauce, which was fantastic. My only reservation was the decision to serve these items a mound of mashed potatoes. The option of rice or pasta would have been welcomed.
I plan on returning and have already recommended the restaurant to friends.”

“This brewery has proven to be a great addition to the community. It’s a dog-friendly beer stop that also has a nice rotation of food truck visitors. They have great drinks in a great atmosphere.

The addition of the community 5k really brings out the neighborhood and gets people active together which is a great opportunity to try quality beers and meet quality people.”

“For six years I have been looking for a new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh since my old favorite one closed. I have never found a place that had the perfect food and atmosphere I was looking for until I entered Lilith last night. Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. The service from being greeted to the absolutely awesome server we had was excellent! The food had a wow factor rarely found in Pittsburgh. I’m not usually a huge fan of how vegetables are cooked most places and the veggies in my dish just blew things out of the water. You could tell they were fresh and local too. The fish I had was just amazing. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Needless to say I will be back again and again now to experience more culinary delights!”

“I love the amount of real spices they use in their curries. I can tell that the restaurant has a great quality of food. I am very sensitive to (hot) spices, but I want to enjoy the flavors of Indian food. If I ask for a 0 the spice level feels too hot for me. Last time I came, I asked for them to adjust the spice level to be milder than 0. They were able to reduce the heat in the dish to levels I could handle without reducing the flavor. I have not dined in at this restaurant, but enjoy the ambience of the place. It is clean and the decor is eye catching.”

“We do not have an Indian restaurant where I live. It is my favorite cuisine. I have driven to Monroeville more times than I can count to satisfy my family’s Indian cravings (yes even my 7 year old loves Indian food). I can say without a doubt this is the best I have tried in the Pittsburgh area. The freshness and quality is so amazing. The owner is very personable and service is great. I will go no where else but this place going forward. So happy a decided to stop on a whim!”

“my family and i used to get pizza from here all the time, it was a tradition to get it on christmas eve as well. pizza is so good we would even eat a piece uncooked in the car on the way home 😅. unfortunately i havent had pizza from here in many years, since i moved to florida in 2014. still hasn't stopped me from thinking about this place often and craving it like crazy. i wish i could have it shipped to me here in florida tho. maybe one day that could be an option.”

“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!”
