“What a strange place! A big dining room with maybe eight tables in it? The food was okay. Portion sizes seem a bit small for the price, and the steak was a bit dry. I have the pepperoni cheese steak, and I wasn't impressed. Pepperoni really doesn't add a good flavor on top of steak.”

“This is the best pizza I have had around Pittsburgh. The crust is excellent, great texture and taste, the sauce is not swee up like lots of shops do around here. Also generous application of toppings.”

“Love this location! Their specialty pizzas are always delicious. Recently ordered a chicken ranch pizza, it was cheesy and had a generous amount of chicken on it! ⭐️ 🍕”

“So happy to say I work here. Everyone is super nice and just great people to be around. The food is really good too. I would 100% recommend the buffalo chicken pizza (and of course you need our amazing homemade ranch to dip it in).”

“I stopped at this Dunkin’ Donuts on a whim, and I am so glad I did. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, and the energy inside the store was surprisingly cheerful for a quick-stop location. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and smelled delicious the moment I arrived.
I only picked up a single donut, but now I wish I had grabbed at least three more. The texture was soft and fresh, with just the right amount of sweetness. No staleness, no dryness, and no weird aftertaste like you sometimes get elsewhere. You could tell these were handled with care. The glaze was evenly applied and didn’t overpower the flavor of the dough. Simple, classic, and just plain good.
What really stood out to me was how fast and smoothly everything went. No delays, no confusion, no waiting around awkwardly. I got through there in less than five minutes, which is rare these days.
It might seem like a small thing, but a good donut at the right time can make your whole day better. This place delivered. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area, probably with a much bigger order.”

“I love the amount of real spices they use in their curries. I can tell that the restaurant has a great quality of food. I am very sensitive to (hot) spices, but I want to enjoy the flavors of Indian food. If I ask for a 0 the spice level feels too hot for me. Last time I came, I asked for them to adjust the spice level to be milder than 0. They were able to reduce the heat in the dish to levels I could handle without reducing the flavor. I have not dined in at this restaurant, but enjoy the ambience of the place. It is clean and the decor is eye catching.”

“Nestled in a modest plaza at 226 Center Road in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Big Rig’s BBQ is the kind of place that turns barbecue lovers into regulars. Owned and operated by the warm and welcoming husband-and-wife team of Josh and Susan Toney, along with their talented chef, this local spot has quickly become a standout in the Pittsburgh-area BBQ scene since opening a few years ago. What sets it apart? It's chef-driven smoked meats using a blend of hickory, cherry, and apple woods, creative sides, craft sandwiches, and an unwavering commitment to quality. But let's get to the heart of it—the food, the people, and the vibe that make every visit feel like coming home. If there's one item that defines Big Rig’s BBQ, it's the brisket. This Texas-style brisket is nothing short of exceptional. Smoked low and slow daily, it arrives at your table with a beautiful bark, a perfect smoke ring, and tenderness that rivals the best pits in the country. You can order it lean or fatty (I always go for a mix), and it literally melts in your mouth. Fork-tender, juicy, and packed with deep, smoky flavor, it's the kind of brisket that makes you close your eyes on the first bite. Reviewers from North Carolina to Texas have raved about it, with many calling it the best they've had outside their home states. Pair it with one of their house-made sauces— the sweet house sauce, tangy Carolina mustard, or spicy variant—and you've got barbecue perfection. Whether sliced on a platter, stuffed into a baked potato, or melted into their famous Brisket Grilled Cheese sandwich (a gooey, indulgent masterpiece), the brisket is consistently outstanding and the reason many drive from across the region. But Big Rig’s isn't just about classics; their creativity shines in the Burger of the Week, a rotating special that drops every Wednesday and keeps things exciting. Each new burger is a stroke of genius, blending premium ingredients with BBQ flair in ways that surprise and delight. One week, it might be a double smash burger topped with chopped brisket, crispy onions, and a tangy sauce that elevates it to legendary status. Another features bold flavors like jalapeño cheddar, bacon, and raspberry honey mustard slaw on a pretzel bun—sweet, spicy, smoky, and utterly addictive. I've tried several, and every single one has been phenomenal: juicy patties cooked to perfection, fresh toppings that balance textures and tastes, and portions that leave you satisfied but plotting your return. Diners frequently call these burgers the best in the Pittsburgh area, with one declaring a brisket-topped version "the BEST burger I've had." The anticipation for each new creation builds community buzz on social media, and it's easy to see why— these aren't ordinary burgers; they're innovative, flavorful triumphs that showcase the kitchen's talent. Beyond the stars of the menu, the supporting cast is equally impressive. Sides like the creamy mac and cheese, smoky pit beans with burnt ends, sweet vinegar coleslaw, and melt-in-your-mouth cornbread are generous and house-made with care. Other meats—fall-off-the-bone ribs, rich pork belly burnt ends, pulled pork, and even smoked kielbasa—round out platters that feed families effortlessly. There's a kids' menu with favorites like grilled cheese and chicken tenders, making it easy to bring the whole crew. What truly elevates Big Rig’s is the owners and staff, who are incredibly friendly and genuinely passionate. Josh and Susan are often on-site, chatting with guests, recommending pairings, and ensuring everyone feels welcome. The service is attentive yet relaxed, with staff going above and beyond—whether explaining the sauces at the table or accommodating special requests. It's clear this is a family-run operation built on love for great food and community. The environment is perfectly family-friendly: clean, casual, and cozy with ample seating, including space for larger groups. It's not a fancy spot, but it's inviting—think warm ligh”

“Casey and her team make truly incredible cakes and sweets. I have been a customer for a few years now and knew that hiring Casey for our wedding cake was the easiest decision in planning our wedding! We chose to do a small ceremony cake and ordered sheet cakes for our guests. Before finalizing our cake order we picked up one of the cake testing boxes, which was so helpful in narrowing down flavors. We ultimately went with vanilla cake and buttercream because a classic is a classic for a reason! The cake so delicious, beautiful, and fresh on the wedding day. We couldn't have ask for a better treat to end the perfect night!”

“First of all I’ve eaten here many times over the years but when you pull in it seems like you’re pulling into a garage area but the food is definitely worth it square cuts with the pepperoni sausage the usual pizza condiments a lot of people like it around here in this area I’m sure you will too. It’s been here since the 50s. It’s a Pittsburgh secret a bit hard to find a little bit out of the way. Old school square cut Sicilian pizza 🍕 The Whole place is contained in a Garage. Very Unique. “We do not have an Indian restaurant where I live. It is my favorite cuisine. I have driven to Monroeville more times than I can count to satisfy my family’s Indian cravings (yes even my 7 year old loves Indian food). I can say without a doubt this is the best I have tried in the Pittsburgh area. The freshness and quality is so amazing. The owner is very personable and service is great. I will go no where else but this place going forward. So happy a decided to stop on a whim!”

“I usually love eating here and understand that it gets very busy. However, they do not run reservations well. I checked in 30 minutes after making my reservation. My quoted time was 40 to 55 minutes. We waited an additional 30 to be told that I wasn't checked in properly. Waited a total of an hour and 20 minutes and still was not seated.”

“I check the weekly offerings and try to plan a trip when something sounds appealing. I will say that I have enjoyed 95% of the ones I tried. You can't go wrong with the semi-sweet chocolate chip. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. The orange creamsicle flavor was spot on. They recently had a peanut butter crisp cookie featuring Butterfinger. It tasted like the candy bar in cookie form.”
