This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. My wife and I just had one scoop of ice cream and both were delicious. We had a pumpkin pie scoop and a scoop of Irish cream with chocolate chips. We wished we had ordered more.
When I walked in I felt the warmth of owner with a heart of gold. The subtle winks and accommodations made me feel at ease. My leige waffle was crisper than a fall day. The flavors I chose competed but nonetheless it went down easy.
