Not what it used to be, sadly! We used to be regulars and would drive 30 minutes just to get coffee here. The past two times we've been here, we left disappointed. I got a strawberry matcha with oat milk today, and it tasted off - like it was made with water instead of milk, and my first sip was just a chunk of unmixed matcha powder. Moonbeam used to be known for its high quality and service, hopefully that comes back, but these things tend to happen during transitions. I'll give it another chance in the summer and hopefully update this review!

So cute! I went on a Thursday around 11:00, I was the only one in there. The girl working was super nice and welcoming! I got an iced matcha latte with sugar free vanilla and whole milk. It was so delicious and well made. Perfect ratio of matcha and milk. I also got a chocolate stroopwaffle. It was the perfect little treat. The prices were good I think I paid about $6 for both. I could see this place getting very busy and packed during busy times of the day. I am glad I went at the time I did.

One of my favorite cafes in Allegheny county! This business came under new ownership recently, and now looks a tad bit different on the inside. There are far more plants now, a lot of them for sale, and the seating has more options. I’ve had the luxury of coming here twice since this (photos from both of those trips) and cannot recommend enough the matcha lattes! They make their lavender syrup in house and it taste just like you took a bite out of a lavender bush (but in a GOOD way🪻) and the earthy fresh notes of the matcha entangle with that perfectly. Their rotating toast selection also provides a great opportunity to try something new! My last visit I got their avocado toast with micro greens and it was quite refreshing and zesty!
The staff are super nice, the lady who was working the cafe even remembered my name which I felt was like, super nice and sweet. The overall vibe of the place is calm and relaxing, a great place to grab a drink and chat with friends on a stormy afternoon! Highly recommend this gem!⭐️

I used to love coming to this coffee shop, but I’m really disappointed with the transition to new ownership. The staff just doesn’t feel as welcoming as before — they don’t seem as personable or friendly. It’s a noticeable shift, and it’s really affected the overall vibe. Unfortunately, the coffee is no better. I’ve tried several specialty drinks, and each one has been a letdown. The chai tea latte, in particular, was terrible. Chai lattes are usually pretty consistent in taste, no matter where you go, but this one didn’t resemble a chai latte at all. It was off, and I’ve overheard other customers saying the same thing. On a positive note, the new layout and additional seating have been a nice addition, making the space feel more comfortable. Overall, though, I’m sad to say this place isn’t what it used to be.

Moonbeam is our absolute favorite spot in town! Their lattes & coffee are consistently delicious. Every month, they introduce fun and creative specials that we always have to try. I can't resist grabbing a blueberry scone every time I'm in there – they are simply the best and my husband is a big fan of their biscotti, which pairs perfectly with his coffee.
What truly sets Moonbeam apart is the incredible staff. The owner and baristas are so warm and welcoming, always treating us like family. Our dogs are also big fans; they know that a trip to Moonbeam means a special pup cup just for them. It's so nice to visit a place where everyone, including our furry friends, feels at home. Highly recommend!
