This is the best pizza I have had around Pittsburgh. The crust is excellent, great texture and taste, the sauce is not swee up like lots of shops do around here. Also generous application of toppings.
Today was our first time ordering from Veltre's. The aroma when I walked in was very enticing. The meatball hoagie was good. Unfortunately, the sicilian pizza was burnt (black and hard) around the entire pizza and was not edible. The entire pizza was overbaked. It was definitely disappointing and our first impression is not good.
The Italian dogs and breaded cheese are two of our favorites.
