Stopped here while traveling. I'm going to use the term Dive Bar, in all the best sense of the term. Best local patrons. Very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. It may be off the beaten path but worth a visit.
First impression was this is a strange location for a bar in what I perceived as a neighborhood setting and a bit rowdy but after a few minutes you recognize the comfort level and daily interactions you'd expect in an establishment like this. Friendly but rough around the edges.

I am torn between giving it one star for its quality and ambiance or five stars for totally owning that divey nature. It is one of the more memorable pubs I have encountered in small towns in my travels - and that can be fun but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop there.
