Have been coming here for as long as I remember but last night, we had the best dinner ever. Their chicken parmesan is probably the best I've tried anywhere. Thick, juicy, tender with a delicious breading . Their spaghetti sauce is amazing. No need for any extra seasoning. It's perfect. Calamari rings were yummy as well. The service was spot on, the drinks were reasonable and delicious. Top notch food ,and service so friendly.
Quaint old Tavern restaurant unchanged for decades, but that's the charm. You're coming here for the food. A lot of the pizza places in Old Forge have lost their "pizzazz "... many times because the owners died and didn't pass on the exact recipies. Not Salernos. Still moderately priced with great food and fast service. Since old Mary Gingerelli passed and took her perfect recipe for sofrito with her, this has become the next best in town.

Great Old Forge style pizza!!! Light and airy crust and just amazing pizza!! Very nice people too. I get a tray whenever I travel through. Half Plaine half hot sausage pictured. Reheats really well to, 360F @ 6-7min in my air fryer is perfect!!
