We dined here Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and the service were top notch. We recommend the filet mignon and the mashed potatoes, best we ever had!

My husband and I love the Cashtown Inn. Some of the best food we have ever had in the Gettysburg/Adams County area. Whatever you order, it’s truly worth every penny. The portions they give are BIG enough for multiple meals, which is what I expect when I’m paying $40+ for a nice meal. The french onion crock is absolutely delicious. The service is EXCELLENT. Very friendly and professional staff who welcome you as if you’ve been friends for years. The Cashtown Inn provides the food, service, and experience that is expected in a fine dining experience. We look forward to going back!

My wife and I stayed for one night during March 2025. Room #3 was adequately large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean with great water pressure and hot water.

On arrival we were greeted by Jeremy who made us feel welcome. We had dinner and breakfast at the Inn, both were delicious with adequate portions.

A local historian was present during breakfast who provided an interesting and comprehensive history of Cashtown and the Inn, prewar and during the battle, to include a tour of the cellar.

A must visit and stay for any Gettysburg/local history enthusiast.

Dinner here is now BYOB (love it!). Menu is somewhat limited, but I think that's a good thing. Service is the best in the greater Gettysburg area.

Noteworthy details: This Inn has a great history dating to 1797.

Under new management since 2021 (discount the reviews prior), this is an excellent stay.
Soo much ghost & paranormal activity in Room 1 (Bring dowsing rods! He's very talkative & likes to point the rods in the direction of where he's located... he paces a lot lol.)

Nearby activities: Gettysburg is literally just down the road, but here you get quiet peacefulness.

Also if you're into ghost hunting/paranormal, Cashtown Inn is ripe with activity (bring dowsing rods for room 1).

Walkability: Walk the town! The whole town is historical, it was taken over by the Confederate army & buildings were made into field hospitals.

Food & drinks: There's a connected Tavern. Bed & breakfast is served & catered to whatever you'd like in the morning. Also reservable.

Noteworthy details: You can request a historian that can tell you all about the War and how it effected the town. Do request him, it was well worth it!

Also. Haunted. Soooooo, so incredibly haunted.

Also tour the basement where there was a field hospital & a running water spout they used to clean their instruments. Theory is water can produce more paranormal activity.

Didn't stay overnight - I was only there for dinner and to attend an historical presentation. The service, meal and presentation all were above reproach!
