At first glance, the Palm looks like what could best be described as your typical country dive bar - which it sort of is, but with some pleasant enhancements. The decor in the bar area is unique, there is a quote regarding the love of music overhead as you walk through to the traditional seating. I can't explain the allure of the place exactly, only that it's got that "slowed down" vibe that seems to be lost in a world of 2025 chain bars/gastropubs. Admittedly, I have always been a sucker for places like this - but the Palm did not disappoint. We were a party of 5, my wife, myself, our three kids (12, 7, 3) and while we were the only family with young kids in there at the time (and my 3-year-old was absolutely post-nap second energy wind) nobody seemed to mind. They have a chalkboard with daily soup specials that looked like someone took the time to make fancy. The food was typical of a bar, I wouldn't say it was out of this world (I had the diablo burger) but it was above-average for a bar setting. My daughter had the kids burger which was sort of lack-lustre, my wife had a roast beef sandwich (complete with sides of horseradish and Au Jus) which was not only massive, but "really really good" and let me tell you she's the food critic between us. I liked that the floors are sort of worn, it aided in the atmosphere feeling like your local family pub. Service was great, and that's considering that the bartender was alone, with 6-8 people at the bar, and probably another 12-15 people seated at the table. She was a rock star and absolutely the reason we will be back. I liked this place, a lot - give it a try!

Ok. So the bathroom……men and women in the same bathroom? There were 2 stalls. Are you supposed to be in there the same time as the opposite sex? Our friend said the door didn’t lock? The food and service were very good. The bathroom made us uncomfortable.

It's probably what you would call a little bit dated. It's ok, but could use a remodel. It was very hot inside and cramped. I don't think it has any A/C. The poor waitress was serving the entire place by herself and seemed to be the only one working. She did great being in that situation. The food is typical bar food and is ok. The band was great.

On a 1-5, this place is a 10! We only tried it because of a good clipp coupon offer. Best coupon I've bought. Maddie was our server. She was amazing. We got 12 wings. 6 buffalo and 6 sweet thai chili. They were SUPERB! FANTASTIC! TOP-NOTCH! saucy but not too saucy. I got the diablo burger. My husband got the north shore triple decker. We both really enjoyed them and could only eat half because they were so big. The fries were really good, too. I did get extreme heartburn that night. It's not the restaurants fault. Im the one who chose to order the spiciest burger on the menu. So I can't get that again, but there are several other things I want to try. Someone's steak sandwich looked really, really good. The cook definitely cares about the food they serve!
Food is gross, and over priced. Good place for beer and fried junk- not a place to go for a decent meal. The staff were so nice but definitely overwhelmed. They are understaffed yet remained good spirited.

Most amazing atmosphere, people, and food. All the staff are wonderful and you feel right at home. Our family absolutely loves the kids nights where we all go to play games and paint rocks together and we can’t wait for the nicer weather coming so we can all enjoy the beautiful porch.
