“I came up from Key Largo Florida to Lancaster Pennsylvania to visit my friend and we decided to check out sickman's Mill and go tubing. I was very impressed with the whole staff.. they were very friendly and engaging answered any questions we had and made us feel welcomed. the process was easy and laid back and before you know it you're in the water on a heavyweight durable tube and gently cruising down the Majestic River. as you navigate your way down the river surrounded by beautiful Lush scenery you begin to understand what's so special about this place. I truly felt connected to Nature no phones no BS from the outside world no politics..all of its just disappeared. I hope more people can have this experience and I wish Joe, his wife, and the whole team at sickman's Mill years of success.“

I have been taking guests there since Dave and Sherry opened 25 years ago and have always had a great experience. There are always great choices on the menu and the atmosphere is fun and historic. The unique wedge shaped site at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Union Street features plenty of parking and an onsite bakery. The owners are great supporters of the community and have been hands-on in all aspects of the operation. Well appointed guest rooms are available above the restaurant. “This place has the perfect name!!! Not that it’s a “dirty ole tavern” literally. But it gives you that traditional dive bar where everyone knows everyone and it’s a locals only type crowd. The kitchen is excellent and the fryers are well maintained with clean and filtered oils regularly. Prices are reasonable and the vibe is chill. They also have lots of sauces to choose from for your wings while you have an ice cold beer and watch the Eagles on a Sunday afternoon. Don’t take my word for it. Give them a try for yourself“
