Bartender asked for ids Showed government issued ID from a foreign country, which he did not accept. Ive used this ID for 5 years across the country and never had issues. He kind of looked back when he noticed its not a local ID, i don’t know if he’s racist but he refused to serve us. And i’m 27. Anyway place stinks and the smell is terrible anyway

Nice little underground bar that we discovered. My husband and I wanted to explore this area and found this spot. It’s definitely a local hang out spot. Bartender was super nice. They don’t have a lot of things on hand to make specialty cocktails but she improvised and made it work. Beer on tap is good. Prices are great. Decor is definitely an old time, basement, comfy kind of feeling. It’s very dim but cool. Overall we liked it and recommend trying it out.

Probably my favorite since bar in Philly so far. Nice bartenders (for a dive lol) and random but I like that they have twisted tea on tap lol Food isn't bad either
Parking: This is very close to the Italian market so parking is bad on weekends and not great on week days. Just know you'll probably have to park a couple blocks at least away and walk.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's downstairs and pretty sure no elevator ?

Sarconi Mascarponi cheesesteak is one of the great masterpiece sandwiches of the city.
While the staff was attentive and very nice, half the creatures that this place attracts dont know what deodorant is or other forms of hygene/self care. Bartender made a good drink, and thats as good as it gets. I've been to better dive bars.
