The food was absolutely awful. The calamari was hard and chewy. Difficult to eat. I've never had salmon that wasn't pink. The apple pie dessert was unique and delicious. I figured food at a large Marriott restaurant would be good. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. PLEASE AVOID!

Our reservation was at 8:45am and we got there at 8:30. We were promptly seated and then we sat for 10 minutes until the same hostess that sat us came back and offered us coffee and water. It was not until another 15 minutes that the waitress came over to take our order. We never saw her again until it was time for the check, somebody else brought the food out. The total wait time for our food was close to an hour. The female manager just kept walking around, but did not assist to bring out any food for customers or to check on tables or to apologize for the wait. I was really upset that breakfast for three people was $54 without tip.

First of all the chiefs in the back do a good job and the ingredients are good. However, that's the last positive thing I have for this restaurant. The host with the dreadlocks is the most incompetent employee I've ever seen and should have been fired several times just while we were sitting there. He was befuddled by the reservation/waitlist software and didn't seem to have a clue how to actually do his job or what his job actually was (he might have been stoned out of his mind too). This causes absolute chaos in the front of house. Not to mention that once we were seated he actually spent 45 minutes talking to a single table instead of doing his job, and the shift manager talked to him but didn't really act like a manager. The "manager" seemed more like the only competent waitress in the place that was promoted because she was the only one that knew how to do any job in the place. The waitress we had was some combination of sad/angry/lazy. The ticket time on our meal was over 1.5 hours for nothing but two waters, one cocktail and three entrees. No appetizers or desserts. They were out of half the items we tried to order on the menu. Honestly if it was my restaurant I'd close the place for 1-2 weeks, fire everyone that was front of house or involved in ordering, and get people that actually know what they're doing. Half the tables were empty and people on the waitlist were giving up after over an hour of waiting because the idiot host honored only reservations and ignored the waitlist. It was embarrassing to watch just how badly this restaurant was run. This could have been a great hotel restaurant and instead it was a memorable but bad joke.

I ordered a healthy breakfast “burrito” with egg whites stuffed with black beans and chopped tomatoes and cilantro. Portion size was perfect for me, not overly large or overwhelming. Came with salsa on the side, delicious and hit the spot!

Great food and, the waitress made the experience memorable. She went up and out of her way to make our experience special. I highly recommend the corn beef hash and Chesapeake Benedict, all I can say is WOW! Great time.

Typical hotel restaurant. We were sat at a table that someone was recently at so they added back a second silverware set....yet never wiped it down. Also, surprised that most of the main breakfast entrees didn't come with toast so it was a $3 upcharge.

We went for breakfast; the host was very nice but the waitress was just ok. We ordered pancakes for the kids and they didn't like them. My husband and I ordered omelets; they were mediocre, we had to add salt to make them ok. Overall not worth it, for the price just go to a restaurant brunch. We always stay at Marriott hotels and this breakfast was our first bad experience

Breakfast was really quite good. The service was outstanding! Food was fine. They have a buffet which is a cheap option for kids. Food ordered off the menu arrived hot - standard options like eggs, nothing fancy. Coffee came in a large carafe for plenty of refills.

Kid-friendliness: The buffet is on the kids menu and pretty inexpensive - very good for kids.

Took 53 minutes to receive a single to-go order of pasta…. Only three other tables at the restaurant at the time. Waiter got multiple complaints from other tables about the slow kitchen, and kept audibly complaining to his manager that “the kitchen is terrible”. Waiter was nice though and was the only reason I didn’t ask for my money back.

Had to ask for the coffee carafe to be refilled. Not crucial, but KYC and keep the drinks filled.

Opens for dinner at 5pm. I went in at 2pm and it was closed.

We made our reservation for 11 am on a Saturday morning, our last meal before checking out and leaving Philly. When we got there, the restaurant was empty, except for a couple of employees milling about. We asked one waitress to help us, and she was very grumpy and offered no help at all. We found another waitress who was more friendly, and she explained they were getting ready for a brunch that started at 11:30. When we told her we had an OpenTable reservation, she said she would check with the kitchen, but came back and said “sorry we're closed”. So our last meal in Philly ending up being a prepackaged mediocre breakfast sandwich from the little market in the hotel. As an aside I looked back into the restaurant at noon, after the brunch started, and it was still completely empty. So I guess other people already figured out this is a place to avoid!!

Went for brunch on Mother's Day. Was basically a traditional breakfast buffet with a few non breakfast options like cocktail shrimp, crab claws, and prime rib. Grits were cold but other than that everything else was up to par. The staff were friendly and accommodating. 2 takeaways, firstly; when we arrived the 12th St. entrance was locked. There were no signs to guide you. We used common sense and walked around to Filbert St. and went through the hotel lobby to gain access. The 2nd take away was that there is no restroom inside the restaurant. You have to use restroom inside the hotel lobby, which you actually need a room key to use. Fortunately, one of the lobby staff unlocked the restroom for us.
