A refreshingly fancier vibe in fairmount, however forcing the pre-fix 3/4 course meal on customers is self-limiting and ruins the potential beautifully independent dining experience of a la carte literally everywhere else. Also I had a server tonight who took forever to take our order. Portions also leave more to be desired. This spot has so much potential if you remove all the rules and pick up the service and add a full bar (it’s BYO).
We went to a birthday dinner here a few days ago. The restaurant had no air conditioning and looked a bit run-down. The food was decent and creative. However, the set price for our group of 6 was very high, especially given the restaurant’s unkempt appearance and lackluster atmosphere. We probably won't return because of the high cost.
tartare and prosciutto starters were wonderful, wish we could have skipped the pastas bc they were way too thick and lacked nuance/depth of flavor/body and made my mouth tired, pork shank was quite good but really could do without random slices of mealy apples that added nothing to the dish + it generally lacked something, desserts were really good esp the panna cotta. it was cozy and staff were really nice.
overall they need to work on the making their dishes...
