Any reviews before August 18th must be for a different restaurant because they really just opened. I love black rice. They did an amazing job. I couldn't get enough of the fried akra either. Can't wait to go back for more. Wish I had taken pictures before I ate it all. The goat was also very good.

The food was cold and nasty did not taste like Jamaican food at all the cabbage was like just seasoned with salt and pepper not nearly the same way Jamaican cabbage and the oxtails were like just meat in gravy with no taste at all will never eat at this place again and when I went to see where my food came from to return it look like the building is abandoned and it needs a visit from license and inspections cause it definitely should be shut down dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever seen in my life I could go on but from reading the other reviews I wish I had read them first I would have save my money

Rice and peas tasted good, oxtail tased good but did not give me the oxtails flavor im used to, more like seasoned meat with gravy. Mac was cool. Yams were horrible tasted like the metal from a can mixed with basement smell. And i did not receive my second platter or 3 beef patties. Lack of communication. Doordash did refund me for the food i did not receive tho.

I usually order my Jamaican dishes from here. I've never had a bad experience, food is always delicious. On top of that, the portion sizes don't even make sense. It's literally 10 pounds of food every time. Even when you make your order smaller you're still amazed at how generous these chefs are.

This was literally the worst food I ever had! I had the curry goat & it was salty & sweet at the same time! Rice taste old & cabbage was tasteless never ever again!

Oxtails not browned. Looked like stew chicken. Rice hard and drowned with stew gravy. Cabbage greasy and don’t taste steamed. I’m a truck driver and I’m Philly a lot. I usually eat at ISLAND TASTE. HOWEVER most restaurants are closed on Sundays. This was the worst dish and they definitely disrespect my culture. Triflingly nasty. I paid $30.41 with Uber eats and paid a tip for straight trash.

J*** sauce tasted like a spiked BBQ sauce. Why was Mac and Cheese, Cabbage, rice, plantains and my chicken all mixed into one small platter?? And they forgot my yams but thank god because if they would’ve tried to fit it in my platter it wouldn’t have been pretty. Cabbage was the best part.
