I would love to give this restaurant 10+ stars. Never have I had such delicious food. Every mouthful of every dish was pure heaven! This was a birthday treat for my friend. We shared 6 small plates. I don't know which was THE best one. We started with drinks. He had the King Vidi and I the Shadowboxin. Both were expertly made. We then proceeded to enjoy Roasted oysters,Satsuma Mandarin salad, Tagliatelle, Foie Gras, Grilled Prawns and Grilled Broccoli. Every dish was spectacular and seasoned well. The accompanying sauces were smooth and velvety. We ended sharing a Chocolate Caramel Tart. My only issue was being seated next to the entrance where it was drafty whenever a new customer entered. I want to come back and try another selection of small plates. What a wonderful experience
Highly recommend!!!!

Phenomenal oysters and toro tartare! The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were even better. The restaurant was very welcoming with a great ambiance. Both the host and our server were friendly and attentive, making sure to check in with us throughout the meal.

Alice absolutely exceeded every expectation. We did the chef’s tasting course and it was nothing short of phenomenal — every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully curated from start to finish.
Athena, our server, was truly outstanding. She was attentive, warm, and incredibly personable, bringing such great energy to the entire experience. The rest of the staff was just as impressive — everything ran seamlessly and the service from the whole team was impeccable.
From the food to the atmosphere to the hospitality, this was a five-star dining experience in every sense. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

I am STILL thinking about this meal days later. I am only disappointed in myself for not getting here sooner!
I started off with a dirty martini at the bar while I waited for my friend to join. The bartender was warm, welcoming, enjoyable to chat with. Once we sat our server was lovely, made great suggestions which were helpful because there are so many menu choices. we did not do the tasting menu, we decided to split roasted oysters, the green salad, latkes, prawns, carrots, and a burger. Completely stuffed, we opted to get the creme Brule and bundt cake for dessert.
I will return here for so many reasons. Wine list was awesome, cocktails were delicious. Although a little pricey (like everything nowadays), your money is well spent, portions are perfect, and every bite well-orchestrated and delicious. I love that you can walk into the bar without a reservation and still order dinner and a cocktail, as most places in line with this restaurant's vibe only seat their bar by reservation like the dining room. You can come here and spent $250 or $50 and have an equally enjoyable experience.
Grateful I explored this A+ restaurant that is right in my neighborhood. Will be back. YUM!

We did the chef’s tasting here. We’ve been doing a lot of tastings at newer restaurants in the city lately, and this is by far one of the best! The Kanpachi crudo, octopus, and steak were my favorites; I loved the char from the charcoal oven on those dishes. The plating is so beautiful, too. The coffee toffee ice cream was so good I wanted to buy a pint of it. Exceptional service -everyone was super nice and friendly. I can’t wait to go back and try the items that weren’t on chef tasting.

We had a really weird experience here. We were waiting for a bar seat but another customer cut us in line and we had to talk to the host to sort it out. The Bartender was so rude after we sat at the bar to start to eat that we actually walked out. Never had something like that happen before. Not going to spend $100s of dollars for that kind of treatment…

I had the opportunity to dine in this incredible restaurant. The foie gras , the oysters pasta and prawns were absolutely out of this world. Jaime and Justin were super nice and helpful, uber yourselves, parking is a nightmare…. Yet I can’t wait to come back for more . A true journey of excellence and creativity. The owner was very kind and friendly. Don’t miss it

Grabbed a last min reservation on a Saturday and was so blown away. We opted for the whole branzino, the chopped salad with artichoke and the latkes with trout roe. I wish we could’ve eaten more because every dish coming out looked fantastic. We ate outside but the inside was also charming. Very excited to come back here with some friends so we can order more.

Cute little corner restaurant. Came for dinner for two around 6 PM. Service was a bit slow, but everything was very good. Menu is a little on the pricier side and serving sizes are moderate—enough to share between two people. Highly recommend reservations as it can get busy. Nice restaurant to visit if you’ve got a special occasion.

Did the $125 tasting -
Apps: grilled octopus was 10/10! latkes + tuna tartare were very good (chips felt cliché but fennel pollen brightened the taste). Naan was tasty and smoky but a bit too soft; pomegranate didn’t add much.
Unexpected win: oysters w/ hot sauce
Mains: $95 steak cooked perfectly but was a bit fatty/heavy with tagliatelle. Fresh pasta and pesto helped but could have used more lemon/acid. Beans arrived a bit late and were underwhelming, not really cutting into the richness as I'd hoped.
Also (not pictured) the absinthe chocolate chunk ice cream was amazing!
Overall, great vibes, good service + excellent whiskey cocktail!

I came here with a large group and we were able to share quite a few items. Everything was delicious! My favorites were the heirloom tomato salad, hamachi crudo, crispy artichoke salad, and charred romano beans. Very good quality ingredients and nice portions
Had the tasting menu - likely one of the best meals I’ve had in Philadelphia (have lived here nearly 20 years)

Lovely New American spot in south Philly. Good vibes for a date night, amazing service and food was solid all around. A lot dishes for sharing and some big enough for an entree. Reservation recommended.

Alice is a charming corner restaurant in South Philly with a vast menu!
My mom and I were able to snag 2 bar seats at 7pm on a Friday. The hosts and bartenders were accommodating and friendly.
We started with the coal roasted oysters. The flavor was immaculate - the added lemon + hot sauce was the perfect bite. Our only gripe was how small the oysters were, they were tiny. 4 for $21. Then, we had the green salad with grilled artichokes. This was on the more tart side, but still delicious. A lot of different textures which kept each bite interesting.
We split the wagyu burger and fries. They give you a HUGE portion of fries and they were golden brown and crispy. However, they were extremely salty… and I’m a salt lover. My mom found them inedible. The burger was great. The caramelized onions added such a nice sweetness amidst the salty burger and bun.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal for the most part. We especially loved the ambiance, perfect for a date night. It just feels inviting. We definitely want to come back to try other items as the menu has such variety to it!
