Food was fresh and fantastic. It's considered new American food and I think the menu might rotate seasonally. It's recommended that you get 2 or 3 small plates per person plus an entree.Probably not kid friendly, the place is on the smaller side and not sure if they have high chairs.

The main Chef is also the manager and steals servers tips!

drinks are mid, food is quite solid, service is great, and vibes are very cute! food is kinda like average flavor but technically well executed 'new american' and will rotate. when i went we got the mushrooms, fries, duck, and their seasonal fish dish. overall everything was tasty, a bit on the saltier side, but nothing that i think about as 'wow damn i need to taste that again.' come here for a cute date spot/nice dinner and know you'll get pretty good flavor! final cost w/ 1 drink + split dinner was ~$65/pp after tax and tip. **had a friend go here afterwards and she raved abt the octopus (which we didnt get a chance to try) so that could be worth!

Elegant presentation, excellent food flavor profiles, great food quality, and cocktails and wines on point. Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Forget center city walk to dinner that rivals other city top restaurants.

At Philly Mag Food & Wine tasting tonight at the Kimmel Center. Alice Latka was so good! Have dined there also. You need to check it out!

The food here was nothing short of delightful. We had 6 dishes and 2 desserts, and all were exceptional. The dessert is a true standout, and one of the best in Philly. The restaurant was very accommodating to dietary restrictions and vegetarians as well. Highly recommend.

Alice is an exceptional dining experience with great service at the bar and dining area. The open cooking concept is great to watch and the chefs are well versed in their area of expertise. I had the latkes and spicy eggplant naan, along with the coal fired shrimp. Good dining experience, I would go back again for sure.

I have eaten here twice. The last time was for New Years Eve.I want to love this place, but the food and cocktails aren't up to expectations. The food: Overall, it's decent. We had a better food experience the first time we ate here. We absolutely loved the crispy artichoke salad. The desserts and ice cream are consistently fantastic. The NYE menu looked great, with a lot of the same items that are on their regular menu, but everything was average or below. The menu online, which we booked for, said there would be a black bass main course on the menu. We had 3/4 of our table looking forward to ordering it. When we sat down, the menu had porgy listed instead. Ok, not the end of the world. We were told we were getting ALL the items on the menu and not picking an item from each course. This was a pleasant surprise since we would be trying all the items! The substitute for the black bass was a whole, deep fried, Porgy. It was awful. You could barely eat it because of the bones. There were more bones and deep fry batter than there was actual fish meat. The Naan, fried chicken and short rib, were a C. The foie Gras, gougere and beets, were an A-.The cocktails: disappointing. They all sound yummy when you read the description, but they don't taste at all what you expect them to, and not in a good way. None of us were pleasantly surprised by the cocktails. After trying the pura miel, love fool and butter and rum cocktails, we gave up and ordered off-menu. The Pura miel is described as having honey and pineapple in it. I love pineapple. I tasted no pineapple. It tasted like a frothy, smokey, chocolatey coffee martini. That probably sounds good to you if that's what you wanted to order, but I wanted a tequila cocktail with pineapple and honey. The love fool was not a bad bubbly cocktail. The butter and rum was another cocktail that had me thinking of delicious buttered rum during the holidays. Not so. This had dry vermouth in it which killed any potential deliciousness about butter and rum. I did not taste any rum or butter in this cocktail at all. Whoever made the cocktail menu list must have a completely different palate than me and my friends. We just did not enjoy or understand what they are trying to do with the cocktails. The desserts: hands down best homemade ice cream I've had in the city. You can feel and taste the generous amounts of egg yolk in their custard-ee ice creams. Beautiful texture and flavor. Their mini bundle cake for NYE was great, too.IMO: this restaurant would do better as a lunch/brunch spot since their salads and desserts are truly amazing. I would definitely buy pints of their ice cream.
