5 star Hospitality epitomized. Jawad and team (Jen, Noah, Benjamin and names I did not catch) made a night out for dinner into a memorable event. The food, service and atmosphere is what keeps us coming back. Thank you for everything!

A solid choice here. After coming back from Barcelona a few months prior we were excited to see how this compares. Naturally you have to alter the menu a bit as we don't have the same ingredients available here but it was done well. The presentation was better than Barcelona and the taste was familiar. Our server Gia was very attentive and brought us some nice pairings. The atmosphere was great as well. Given the price and quality its easy to see why this is a Philadelphia favorite. If your in the mood for Spanish tapas this is a great place to go.

Took my staff for our annual Xmas dinner.
Food was decent, kind bland. Service was definitely below par. Absolutely no charisma, no fun at all. The simplest half jokes were met with blah, seriousness. Slow, no love felt at all, especially when told we were there for a Xmas dinner from another local bar/restaurant.
Definitely won't return anytime soon.
If the restaurant takes anything away from this review, work on being a happier staff!!!

Great place to take your family and friends. I would like to get a seat at this restaurant you shaped and specially popular towards the front.
The only part that I thought was a little strange was they asked us if we were celebrating anything when they confirmed our reservation as we told them it was our 10 year wedding anniversary and received no acknowledgment from anyone of the staff members during our entire stay at the restaurant. What was the point of asking us if we were celebrating something ?

My wife and I recently took a close friend out to Amada Philadelphia for a Friday night birthday dinner. This restaurant came highly recommended, and our friend had been eager to try it. Amada, Chef Garces' iconic first restaurant, truly lived up to its reputation, offering an authentic and memorable Spanish dining experience.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a gorgeous rustic-chic interior that immediately transported us to Spain. The atmosphere felt celebratory, making it an excellent choice for parties or special occasions. The lighting was soft, and the music added just the right touch of energy without being overpowering.

Amada’s unique style revolves around small plates, which is perfect for sharing with a group. Our server, Nick, was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, guiding us through the extensive menu. He explained that diners typically order 3 to 6 small plates per person but also pointed out some options with larger portions for those with bigger appetites.

We started with the Tortilla Española, a potato and onion omelette that was wonderfully tender and flavorful. The Patatas Bravas were a hit, with perfectly spiced potatoes that had just the right amount of crispiness. The Amada’s Empanada, filled with spinach, Manchego cheese, and artichoke escabeche, was a standout with its rich and creamy filling. Finally, the Chamuça, a spiced lamb turnover, offered a delightful mix of bold and savory flavors. Each dish was beautifully presented and left us wanting more.

The service was impeccable throughout the evening. Nick ensured we had everything we needed and made excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. The small plates encouraged conversation and sharing, making the experience even more enjoyable for our group.

Amada is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy high-quality Spanish cuisine. Whether you’re planning a birthday dinner or a fun night out with friends, this restaurant is sure to impress!

Service here is disgraceful! Gia was disrespectful, rude and failed to let us know that the paella couldn’t be ordered after a certain time. She never asked about drinks or how the food was. Just gave a thumbs up when me and my friends ordered our food and then never came to check on us.

Octopus in ink and other delightful tapas available here. Make a reservation if you can and make it early if you mind the loud chatter that comes later.

My husband and I always consider this our favorite restaurant. We celebrated our first year anniversary here and today we celebrated our 13 years together. Alex the waiter and the lovely manager were incredible at meeting our needs and following our baby’s cues if we needed a faster time for food or paying for the meal. The Spanish classics are always a hit and the spin on sandwiches and burgers are over the top. Thank you so much for providing us excellent service, kindness, delicious food and enjoying our baby’s first visit. We will always come back for more!

Been there twice; once for anniversary and once for my bf’s bday; it’s his fave restaurant and I think it’s high quality but each time I have thought the food was pretty salty. He LOVES the bacon wrapped dates, I think it’s his all time fave food
