Best bar/restaurant in town

Nola Darling

Nice people with good enough drinks and food! Not a lot of places like this in the immediate area so it’s nice to have around!

Best lesbian bar in the city

It’s my favorite bar in the city, been coming here weekly for 5 years from South Philly! I enjoy the chicken cheesesteak and smash burgers. Chill and cool vibes!

This was the weirdest and worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in Philly…

I came in to try a smashburger as someone recommended it to me. Sat at the bar, bartender took my order and it came out quickly. When I cut it in half, I noticed that it didn’t look smashed, but I wasn’t going to judge it off that.

I took a bite and was highly confused. It was rubbery and did NOT taste like beef. If you see in the pictures, it does not have the texture of a burger. It looks like two thick sausage patties that you would get at a diner or in a Mcdonalds breakfast sandwich.

I called the bartender over and he said oh I’m sorry you don’t like it, if you were drinking I’d get you a free drink… weird way to handle that. I then asked for the check and when I got it, I told him I would pay for the fries I ate but not the burger because I don’t believe it was a burger. He then looked at me and said “Yeah, I just had our burger last week and it was nothing like that. Our burgers don’t even look like that so I’m not sure what happened, its weird. I’ll talk to the chef later. Don’t worry about paying”

I am not a confrontational person, so I just got up and left without getting an answer on what I ate. Charging me for something that they know is not a burger, not offering to remake it when I initially said this doesn’t look right and then only comping me once I double down is the worst customer service ever. I don’t know what is going on in that kitchen but I will never go back.

The worst customer service ever. I was sitting at the bar for 40 mins when I decided to order food. The Black female stud bartender asks to see my ID. I honestly left it at home (because I never get carded at places like El Camino, Anejo, Figo, Set NoLibs which are better establishments) She refused to let me continue to sit at the bar just to eat ??. I was not looking to drink. She forced me to sit at a table and not at the bar. Honestly if you’re going to have a Stupid rule like that how about carding people IMMEDIATELY when they choose to sit at the bar. Don’t let someone get comfortable in their seat and then kick them out of the bar area, it was very rude and disrespectful for her to not do her job properly (card people immediately sis) and randomly decide to card me to eat at the bar area after 40 mins of being comfortable in my seat. I will definitely not be returning. This is exactly why I do not support small bars because they pick and choose when to enforce their rules.
