So happy I found this gem while visiting Fishtown! Staff was super friendly and efficient. Food was fabulous! Nice place to sit outside while waiting for food to be prepared. Highly recommend!
AN HONEST review - I have been overwhelmed with all the hype so I was EXCITED to try! ☺️ right off the bat the tostones were old which is very disappointing. Tasted like they were fried, leftout and then refried to be warmed up. The arroz con gandules - basura. I was fully expecting abuelas’ or even Tia’s home cooked flavor but it was giving Benjamins’s microwave rice and old gandules. Lastly the pastelitos. We went with the chicken flavor so can’t speak on the others....
Small, thoughtfully decorated corner shop. The food is absolutely delicious. I live in south Philly and was out this way for work but I’m coming back with my partner because she needs to try this food. The guava bbq pork and truffle mushroom pastelillos are to die for. 😊
