Idk why it’s so hard to find fresh crabs in Philly this decade. Had to crack them open to make sure but yuppp, think this place about to be my new go to spot for blue crabs. Pic without all the sauce so you can see the color inside. Keep up the good work :)

I gave a 3 star because they crabs were very good i used to go here for the jumbo crab cakes they are very small now and they don't use lump crabmeat anymore they use claw meat the shrimp and scallops,& French fries were good the Special Sauce it's not what it used to be is very watered down and has a Tangy taste my friend brought the pasta linguine with mussels it was horrible first of all they gave a bucket of spaghetti noodles instead of linguine noodles with a bunch of garlic butter and very little muscles just sitting on top of it i won't be going back i use to love this place

I went to purchase a dozen crabs today, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality. When I opened the bag, I noticed that at least two or three of the crabs were already dead. On top of that, once I arrived to the store the lids were missing from the container where the live crabs are being stored and there were flies hovering over the crabs, which was very unsanitary the crabs should be covered at all times. For the price I paid, I expected fresh, live crabs, not something that looked like it had been sitting out for hours. This was a terrible experience, and I won’t be returning unless the quality improves.
I’ve had some good crabs from here but the ones I bought that were cooked already were mushy and not good to taste this maybe the second time .I’m left to believe dead crabs are being cooked but I’ve decided to only buy live crabs and make them myself

I just left Anastasi on July 12, 2025. I have been paternizing this store ever since the early 90s. Today I couldn't believe the experience that I had when I went in to purchase a dozen of clams the woman behind the counter who I have seen many times had the nerve to ask me if I had anything else because my money didn't look right. I just got the 20.00 bill from a Citizens Bank in Drexel Hill where I live. Needless to say I paid the 7.00 with my debit card but will never go here ever again. If I were white I know this would have never happened to me. Not all black people are scamn artist..I took that same 20.00 to Family Dollar with no problem to purchase something else

I just started going back to them because I brought a entire bushel and they were all bad. This was over 10 years ago. I was in the area so decided to try them again. Went a month ago and brought a dozen. No problem. Decided to get a half of bushel this past Thursday for a cook out. Well sad to say the half of bushel was so mushy. Of course the crabs were picked though and trashed. I called they offered to replace the 5 crabs that I brought home. Well they are not around the corner from me and I'm not wasting gas for 5 crabs. But I've learned my lessons. I will never go back or suggest anyone else go
