I found this spot while exploring the historic South 9th Street Italian Market — what a great find! They offer a broad menu of raw, fresh seafood, along with a smaller selection of cooked lunch and dinner options. I went with the broiled crab cake sandwich and was pretty happy with it — fresh, flavorful, and a great value. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
The seafood is so fresh, this is the best lobster roll I ever had, the coleslaw and fries were also outstanding. The place got busy so we waited a little but it was worth it. 90% of the patrons were people of color and so am I. I had detected no issues and felt treated well. Seating is limited but at the time we went (lunchtime) we had the entire outside space to ourselves. We will be back!
Best place for live Blue Crabs. I got a crab place 10 min from me and I still drive over 1 hr to Philly for Anastasi's( I did a price comparison for 3 bushels of #1's. I saved $450 going to Anastasi's vs place 10 min away from me)
