It’s tough to capture the range and ability of this cooking team in 1-5 stars, but I’ve tried anyway. Their main pasta courses were exceptional (salmon pasta in particular was a master class in decadence) but their appetizers left much to be desired (the meatballs may have been moist, but not in the right ways). The dessert brought this meal home and nearly across the 5-star finish line. I would NOT come here if you have any dietary restrictions: literally every single dish has gluten, dairy, garlic, etc.

Excellent food and lovely staff. The Carpaccio Angelina was a particular standout. Already looking forward to going back and trying more of their dishes.

Service and atmosphere was terrible. Would not come back or recommend. No personal touch and staff were very cold and hard to communicate with. Lastly they would only take cash or pay with an odd Venmo account, very suspicious and it’s not advertised. Shame that a neighborhood place has turned into this, they won’t be open long.

I have to be honest it was a let down . We had been here a year ago and had a fantastic meal but this time we found it just pretty standard. We had the bolognese and the shrimp pasta and to be honest it was nothing special. Service was quite slow and a bit distracted which was confusing since we were the only people in the restaurant. The cash only policy was also a bit confusing as there were no signs or notice on the menus or doors. I'm fine with cash only but I'd like to have some notice of it . We ended up paying via Venmo to an account that seemed to have no relation to the restaurant which was also slightly odd. I'm hoping it was just an off night for them

Awful. We knew Angelina. She passed several years ago. We had hoped the essence of her and her qItaluan cuisine would prevail.Nothing. Nada.

We had a party of almost 20 and for such a small space, the staff was SO accommodating. They moved tables and chairs for us and took the chaos like absolute champs. It was my older sisters birthday, and I am one of thirteen siblings with most of my siblings coming out to celebrate this, along with their significant others. The staff was glorious and didn’t get angry with us (outwardly) even once. You have no idea how much we appreciated their patience with such a large group.Additionally, the food was made swiftly and it was all DELICIOUS. We got the veal, the gnocchi, the carpaccio Angelina, the salad, and much more and everyone raves about their meals. We loved it here and I hope to come back in a more relaxed setting on my own to try more!Vegetarian options: They had salad and other veggies :)

We could not rave more about this food. It has to be some of the most delicious Italian food in Philadelphia. The meatballs alone are worth the trip to this hidden gem.

Not special. Not exciting. Not a lot of fresh choices on the limited menu. Nice. Attentive service. Started with the Cesar salad which was good. Crispy romaine, taste of anchovy was well balanced. Then had the gnocchi. It was shaped like a playdough log cut up. Texture a bit like playdough too-gummy. The sauce was uninspired, gooey cheese in a pureed tomato sauce topped with parsley (???). The lemoncello cake was a winner. The space is tight and a bit awkward. The music was in Spanish, not Italian so gain ambience is odd. BYOB. So many places that go above and beyond, this one seems to be coasting.

Absolutely awful food. Overpriced. They say the dessert is homemade and it's not. Hair in my food. Don't waste your money you'll be

Felt like a hidden gem! The pomodoro sauce was incredible and the tiramisu was delicious! BYOB and cash or Venmo only, but it's worth it for an intimate setting with good food!

This place is AMAZING. Look, I normally don't love Italian food. I feel like everyone does the same thing and it's usually meh. We booked this place for dinner with the family and a toddler. We started off with the Caesar Salad and I think the meatballs? Not sure since I didn't eat them - I stuck with the Caesar Salad, which was delicious. Not too heavily dressed, and flavorful. My husband and his parents loved the meatballs. They couldn't stop eating them and described them as if they were eating a "cloud". Even my toddler ate the meatballs and she has been a pretty picky eater lately. For dinner, everyone agreed the pasta's were amazing. My mother-in-law got the shrimp pasta and loved it. The rest of us got the burrata pasta - I had asked if I could switch the gnocchi to spaghetti since I don't care for gnocchi, and it was not a problem at all. I get the pasta expecting the typical mediocre pasta I get. No - this was amazing. You could taste the basil, the spices, the tomato and it was all brought together with the creaminess of the burrata and the perfect al dente pasta. It literally is probably the best pasta I've ever had.The service was exceptional as well - they cleared the plates after each course, and made sure everyone's water was filled. I 100% will be going back. You should definitely not miss out on this place.
