What can I say but amazing! Kudos to the owners, chefs (who were working really hard) and servers and busser for a wonderful experience. Every dish was phenomenal and the portions are generous. We had the farro and burrata app along with the octopus app and they were both great to share. I had the brazino grill that was enough for 2 but I ate it. Anyway go there and it's BYOB. I will go back.

This hidden gem is nestled on a small street in South Philly. It's a BYOB with outside seating if you want to dine alfresco. Inside is small, quaint and nice ambiance. I ordered the beet salad and Chicken Picatta. The salad was delicious and my entree was cooked perfectly. Tiramisu for dessert. This place never dissapoints I will be back again soon. Thanks John and Carlos for your hospitality

First time visit to this little South Philadelphia gem. The biggest challenge of your evening might be parking. The food was amazing and the people were even better. We will back again before our next Sixers game. This place is also a BYOB so bring a bottle of your favorite vino. Enjoy !!!

Was there last night , really good Italian food . Burratta over farro appetizer was delicious , I had one of the specials for entree . It was pasta with crab and shrimp in a spicy marinara , the shrimp and lump crab meat were fresh and mild , ... beautifully done . The service was very good . The desserts were amazing , homemade cheesecake with Nutella is a must try ! The homemade flourless chocolate cake looked amazing / I'll be trying that next time ! ... This spot is one of those small , comfy places in South Philly that can easily become a favorite quickly !

They don't deserve a star. Me and my partner had a very strange experience here several years back where the owner claimed the kitchen was closed several hours early and his friend and patron got into an aggressive argument with him and kept telling us "he was just being an a******* and that the kitchen wasn't closed. We didn't want to be imposing, so we left. Wasn't until the restaurant down the street did the same thing (with a packed dinning hall staring at us) that we realized it was because we were Black and you can still be that openly racist down here in South Philly. I think about it every time I pass this place.

Found this place while looking for an authentic Italian family owned place. It was absolutely wonderful! We accidentally first went to the wrong place and were late for our reservation but they held on to our table even though we were a party of 5. The service was super warm and friendly. The ambience was cozy and very homely with a great vibe. And the food was insanely delicious. We got the beet salad, the wild mushrooms, burrata and octopus as appetisers - all of which were great. My fav was the burrata and the octopus. Our mains were the lobster ravioli, pork chops, branzino and eggplant pasta out of which the pork chops and the eggplant pasta were beautiful. Dessert is a must with their tiramisu and chocolate torte! Excited to come back soon!

Probably my favorite restaurant in the entire city. I've eaten here many times and since meeting my husband it has become one of his favorites as well. Consistently delicious. I was raised by an Italian immigrant and the food is up to my uber-high standards for food from the Old Country. I've picked L'Angolo for several birthday dinners over the years. A friend who lives in MD got to know and love L'Angolo during his time as a student at Penn, and he and his family recently drove up from MD for dinner. They were desperate for a Covid break and decided a 3 hour drive to have dinner was worth it. Indeed it was. :)

YASSS! Not a negative word to ever say about L'Angolo. I have been coming to L'Angolo since I moved to South Philly a few years ago. My go to Italian spot has always been Giorgio on Pine, but L'Angolo has definitely taken more of my money in recent months (even during covid). What I like is that they change up their specials, which Giorgio stopped doing (no shade though). The staff are great & so welcoming. I'm one of those people that need to feel comfortable in a small spot like this, I don't want to feel out of place or like I shouldn't be there and this is NOT that place. The food is incredible. Everything. Just go and eat and eat some more.

This place never misses. Bring your own wine. Roasted artichokes make a great appetizer. Have not had a bad dinner here have visited many times. The staff and other customers have always been super friendly. The place is small, intimate. Romantic. .

My wife, family members, and I have been coming to L'Angolo for almost 15 years - it is hands down our favorite Italian restaurant in the city. We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries (my wife and I got engaged here) and special events at L'Angolo and John and his staff are always warm, inviting and professional. As to their food, it's outstanding. One favorite of ours is their sauteed artichoke hearts with roasted garlic - they are absolutely delicious. So, don't pass up the chance to experience one of the best meals you will ever have. Go to L'Angolo!

The best Italian restaurant in the heart of south Philly ! You'd be a fool to pass on L'Angolo

First and foremost this place is BYOB so make sure you bring a couple of bottles. It's a very small and quaint place. The food was fine the service could have been better I think. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to go to this restaurant again. There are other Italian restaurants in the city, obviously not very many, that have better service and the food is just as good. When we visited we were a party of four and we were rushed to leave while we were still eating our dessert. If the service had been more efficient maybe we could've ordered our food and not spend our time waiting for our waiter to come to us.
