I usually buy bread from this store every day. In the morning, the bag always has 5 pieces, but in the afternoon, they give only 4. When I asked why, they said it’s because the afternoon bread is “bigger,” but it looks exactly the same size as the morning ones. I hope the store can be more consistent and fair with the quantity.
Not authentic Vietnamese coffee! I’ve tried Vietnamese coffee from many places, and this one was the worst. It tasted like it was made from instant coffee. Trust me — if you want to try real Vietnamese coffee, this is not the place for you! Also, the staff is unfriendly.

WASTE OF MONEY!!!! I tried the Vietnamese hoagies at this place, and they were terrible. The pork BANH MI tasted like it had been made weeks ago, dry and flavorless. This place is overhyped, chaotic, dirty, and cramped. I could barely walk through, and the staff were unwelcoming. Very disappointed!

Huge place, but only the front section is open to customers. The setup is kind of chaotic in the best way possible — every corner has something going on. Despite the small space, the food here absolutely slaps.
I got the chicken feet with mango and kumquat salad, the small Vietnamese pork roll sausage, and the Vietnamese sausage burger on a chewy mochi-style bun. The chicken feet salad was tangy, citrusy, and full of texture, with a nice spicy kick. The pork roll sausage was savory with a classic Vietnamese flavor. The sausage burger was super fun to eat — salty, chewy, and totally different from anything I’ve had before.
They also sell bánh mì, which looked amazing, but I skipped it this time because the line was way too long. Definitely trying it next visit.
It’s tight inside, but they make the most of it: hot food at the counter, sausages in a little heated display, cold salads in the fridge, and even someone tucked behind the door selling jade bracelets and trinkets. It feels like organized chaos, but in a charming way.
Checkout was quick, even though the line looked long. Heads up, there’s a 2.5% surcharge for credit cards, which is pretty standard.
Overall, Ba Le is a total vibe — busy, packed, and full of flavor. A must-try if you’re into authentic Vietnamese bites and don’t mind a little crowd.

Not the first time, but they screwed up our order again. Additionally, try calling them and getting through. You can’t! They even have a default message that says they’re not gonna pick up the phone. Horrible customer service. Mediocre food. Very bad environment inside anyway. Will not be returning!

It was a really enjoyable experience and made me feel connected to Vietnamese culture in a small but meaningful way 😍 I’ll absolutely be coming back the next time!!!!

Ordered a #2 Crispy pork belly Dac Biet Banh mi on 09/23/2025. Only 1 of 3 pieces of pork belly was actually crispy and the other 2 pieces were soggy. Aside from that I loved that the pork roll and ham were sliced thinner than the usual thicker cut. I was hoping the thinner cut was intentional and not an accident.
Today, 10/12/2025, I ordered the #1 Dac Biet Special because the crispy pork belly is not consistently crispy. I was looking forward to the thinner cut of pork roll and ham but unfortunately the cut this time was thicker than last month.
Love this place and prefer crispy pork belly that’s consistently crispy and thinly cut pork roll and ham. I am hoping for this consistency the next time I return. Giving 4 stars versus 5 stars due to the inconsistency.

Amazing food. I've been going for years and I love the sandwiches and everything else they sell
We had the food delivered so cannot rate service. Best Banh MI, even compared to those I've had in Vietnam.

There’s a surcharge for everything. Banh Cuon should come with fish sauce but it’s a surcharge for sauce that should already be included.

I recently ordered delivery from here through the website. It told me that the food would be delivered by 1pm, and by 1pm I hadn’t gotten a call (as I requested in the delivery instructions) so I checked the website. It was marked delivered, and I panicked and checked the door but there was no food. Figuring it had been stolen off the porch, I tried calling the business multiple times but the call was not picked up.
At this point I figured I would just do a chargeback since the food was stolen due to a lack of notification, and I ordered lunch from somewhere else. Minutes after I place the new order, I get a text from Ba Le saying my food is on the way, and it’s delivered by 1:30.
I can forgive food being late, but because there was no communication I ended up with two separate lunches and paid far more than I wanted to. The delivery system needs to be fixed so that it doesn’t claim to be delivered before the food has even left the restaurant.
That being said, the banh mi itself was incredible and was enough to boost this to 3 stars despite the horrible delivery. It would be 5 stars if you just picked up the sandwich yourself, which I will be doing in the future. It’s just not reliable delivery on a day where you cannot leave the house.

This place definitely hits the spot if you’re craving banh mi, without hurting your wallet!
The price is great for the size of the banh mi, which is big enough to share between two people.
I also love their Vietnamese coffee, strong, refreshing, and just the right taste for me.
Parking is easy since it’s in a plaza, but there aren’t any dine-in tables, so you’ll probably end up enjoying your banh mi in the car.
