*In response to the owner's response below, I understand the difference between the two dishes. What I am saying is I ordered Katsudon and you gave me the wrong dish (and this wrong dish was super salty and unedible). Please look into your process as when we showed up, our order was originally given away to the wrong person. So there were at least 2 issues with our order, turning a possible repeat customer into a never come back again customer.
Original post: The beef over rice dish was tasty, but the katsudon was entirely misleading see pic, supposed to be breaded chicken breast instead just got boiled chicken pieces that was super salty

The definition of a hidden gem! Everything we’ve had from them has been delicious. The effort they put into decorating their space (which is unassuming from the outside) is only topped by the effort that goes into the food. SO much flavor. Very happy to have them here in Fishtown.

Really authentic favors and fast services. I ordered crispy chicken gyoza, philly cheesesteaks gyoza, roasted pork Bao, and ramen to go. All the food stayed juicy after reheated and were packed nicely.
I absolutely love the food bao button serves, I’ve gone here several times and everything I order comes out so amazingly. The customer service is pretty well too. The only true downside to this business is the length of their wait time and how the wait time is inaccurate. I really wish the systems would reflect the time better because I’m always waiting an additional 30 or minutes.

I love a place that specializes in Japanese food, but a place that does it well and laidback is quite hard to find. I got the Katsudon and a spam musubi for takeout and it all hit the mark. The Katsudon was made to order and hot! It did take quite a while, but considering the results I really won’t complain. While waiting I sat at a nearby table and noticed the interior is themed to be like a small local ramen shop in Japan. Warm wood interior with posters of various Japanese meals and pop culture. There was also a projector screen I’d imagine they use from time to time. Bonus points for the awesome City Pop music on that day! Anywhere I can hear Tatsuro Yamashita is alright with me.

Last night at 11:26PM when we got our food after 2.5hrs, overall not a good experience. I had been waiting a month to try the food REALLY looking forward to it. I appreciate the apology; however, my issue is accountability. When a takeout bag sat for pickup for 1+hrs, I do think there should've been someone who noticed it was never picked up. I called in to DD after seeing 5 dashers "waiting for pickup" only to leave and DD assured me the order was being made and would be ready for pickup shortly. Another hr passed and before close of business, it was finally sent out. I really don't want to assume this was the old order first made over 1hr+ ago that was never delivered, but pickup timestamp (20:53), taste, and temperature assured me it was not remade. Our driver arrived very fast after pickup. Now, if it was solely DD's fault, I would think every effort would be made by the restaurant to ensure this was not a reflection of the business and the food would outshine this whole experience. Everything tasted like cold leftovers and was thrown away. I'd have been happy to update my review, but I feel it IS accurate based on the experience.

Food here is great! Have had multiple dishes, would recommend to when the most picky ramen eaters. The inside decor is also great, the only downside is that it's located in kind of a strip mall, but food is worth it

Just had green vegetable dumpling. Cooked with care and sophistication with exceptionally fresh ingredients. Can’t wait to try other dishes. And well behaving pets were welcome?!
Passion fruit green tea with chia seeds 10/10 only if you like sweet
Chicken Katsu with Egg and Udon 8.5/10 saucy but delicious.
Chili Chicken dumplings (Boiled) 10/10
Vegan dumplings (pan fried) 8/10 filled with whole veggies instead of chopped finely but still good (:

Worst ramen! Broth pure OIL, the pork was just fat, and got my mouth pierced by this metal inside the broth! Don’t go there!
So good, chicken katsu buns and mini soup dumplings in sauce were delicious!! Would recommend and will be back ?❤️
