Everything is homemade and good at Barrels, but the veal cutlet and the veal parmigiana either in a sandwich or a platter is excellent. Best veal in South

Food is delicious!!! Always hot & ready fast. The gnocchi ariana is a MUST TRY. The gnocchi in general are cooked perfectly not too hard not too soft. I’m drooling just thinking about it. Portions are generous too so I can’t wait to eat my leftovers today!

Good is always excellent. Have dined in several times over the years. Every time we take food out it has been great. I definitely recommend on a night you are in the mood for Italian and don't want to go out or feel like eating at home and don't feel like the work of cooking.

Rode my bike from 22nd and christian( took my time ) and still order wasn't ready. Another thing I found bad was the cashier was ignoring me every time a new customer entered the restaurant.

Ordered delivery- Roast Beef Sandwich, Meatball Parm, Alfredo Appetizer, and House Salad. My husband and I both said the same thing: Homemade!!!! Everything tasted amazing, and you could really tell that it was all fresh and made in-house, especially the meatballs and the incredible garlic bread. We will 100% be dining again!

Sad to report that Barrels has fallen. First, dry garlic toast. After a while of waiting, our waitress tells me that they are “out of veal”. What? An Italian restaurant in South Philly with only two people in the dining room is “ out of veal”? Sad. My wife’s chicken dish was so dry and burnt it was inedible. Please tell me why?

the moment you walk in your greeted by miss Vickie, she makes you feel at home she knows the menu inside and out her amazing personality is part of the charm the food incredible. The muscles, the clams, the appetizers, so good the blackened chicken and veal Parmesan off the chart delicious the side of spaghetti, perfect You're in South Philly you're eating Italian. My suggestion, this is a restaurant that you must go to the corner of Rosewood Street between 18 and 17th on wolf. Our go to for great food that tastes so homemade. There are so many great dishes to try- but something to note- they have the best soups anywhere! After a long day of work when you don't feel like cooking- Barrels is your place!

Usually the the food is good, but tonight was the worst, very dense gnocchi barely any sauce or crab meat. I got the gnocchi Arianna and am super disappointed. Alfredo sauce on one of my kids was tasteless. Greasy calamari, and stake bread. I can go on, Gnocchi Ariana eww but I'll end it here.
