Barry's Steaks & Hoagies

A friend of mine recommended Barry Steaks so decided to make the trek from WC. I thought the steak and fries were solid but what bothered me was the bloated prices. The big rage these days are Cooper sharp and seeded rolls. However, you pay an extra dollar for the Cooper sharp and another $1 for a seeded roll. No bueno! I spent almost $30 for a steak with extra cooper sharp, seeded roll, $5 for fries and $3.45 for a Barry's soda. I would come back to this joint but think they're better lower cost options for D'Alessandros, Chubby 's, or Mom's Pizza. Lastly, they only take cash which is antiquated and a reminder of the COVID Days. Ugh 😩

I wanted to give it a try. The cheesesteak with onions was delicious. However, for $16.50 it wasn’t enough for grandma to split with my 2 year old grandson. I was still hungry. For cheese wiz and seeded roll it was an extra $2 which is now closer to $20. So if you’re ok with having a great cheesesteak and not being hungry plan on spending about $40.

i ordered for our family and specified for a shake that my daughter had a tree nut allergy and they highlighted in the receipt to make sure she was safe! this is amazing as a family who deals with places not knowing or caring on a weekly basis, the food was amazing, i got a cheesesteak wrap delish and a pizza steak for my husband he loved.

Philadelphians will argue almost to the death in favor of their favorite cheesesteak places. IMO Barry's Steaks has the hands-down best cheesesteaks in the East Falls & Roxborough areas. More meat & cheese than Chubby's & way less salt than Delesandro's.

Sad to see it go but Barry's had exceptional food and great prices. Hope their new location manages to work out for them even if it doesn't have the same charm I'm sure the staff and food will still be fantastic.

Everyone will have an opinion on which place has the best steak sandwich.That being said, their Cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp cheese is by far the best steak sandwich I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot of cheese steaks.I can't even think about getting a cheese steak anywhere else.I also enjoy their sides, from fries to their corn nuggets.Employees are extremely friendly, all around you'll enjoy your decision to support this local Philly treasure.

Outstanding dinner tonight. After a neighbor recommended trying this place we were sold. We got a cheesesteak, southwest turkey hoagie and some sort of fried broccoli with cheese. So many great flavors. The bread was also fresh and chewy. Prices were normal. Glad I got the normal size so I have some extra to eat tomorrow.

I came to Philly for business for the first time and all I wanted was a "real" cheesesteak. Barry's did not disappoint! The hoagie was great and the curly fries were delicious. Huge portions!

Barry's is my favorite cheesesteak in the neighborhood! Super quick delivery, great staff & consistently delicious food...my go to is "The Coop" and a side of curly cheese fries. ?

Such low level cheese steaks that they can't even compete with the corner stores that make a cheese steak for $5.50. Hate that I spent my hard earned money to be this disappointed despite the good reviews.
