I wish it would remain open. its projected closing is a major loss for Philadelphia, as it significantly reduces the city's offerings in classic French bistro cuisine. One for chef/owner: reconsider!!!!!
Bistrot La Minette always offers an excellent dining experience, with a traditional French menu and pleasant surroundings. The service is friendly and efficient. Last night I had the seared foie gras, duck breast and the caramel pot de creme, and all were delicious. One thing I like is that the servings are satisfying without being enormous - I was able to clean my plate, which I can't do in some places!
This was our last meal here as the restaurant is closing for good at the end of July . It's been thirty years and we were there when they opened, food was excellent then and just as excellent now. How many can say that? Not many. It's been a pleasure and all I can say is you will be sorely missed. Thank you for making our lives better because of your presence!
This review is late as we are saying goodbye to Bistro La Minette this month, but it’s still worth saying thank you and adieu. My husband and I have been going here for ~7 years. We had our 4th date here, celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and just cravings for the chicken or other tasty bites.
The food has always been excellent, but it’s the staff that always made it shine. Thank you for happy memories.

Great meal, great service and great drinks. Chef Peter Woolsey and his staff have done it once again. My wife and I love this place. It's our favorite French bistro and that includes those in Paris, Honfleur and Mont-Saint-Michel. Bistrot la Minette is a gem. So sorry that it is closing. Please publish a cook book with the recipes of all the dishes you've served over the years. Best wishes to Chef Peter, all of the staff and all of your families. As for my wife and I and our family, we'll forever cherish the memories we've made at Bistrot la Minette. THANK YOU!!! Simply the best.
So sad we are losing such a gem. Such an incredible atmosphere with unpretentious and perfectly executed food. Classics are nailed, with just enough innovation to keep you wanting more.
I'm so sad they are closing! Very grateful to come in for one last meal here, and to celebrate a 5th anniversary with my love made it truly special. What a fantastic experience - the best food, service, ambiance. Every detail is perfection.

This was our bittersweet farewell dinner. Very sad, but understand that Chef needs to have a life. Maybe in a few years when the little ones have "flown the coup", we will meet again in his new restaurant? Bistro La Minette has always been my favorite restaurant and I eat out a lot! During Covid, I yearned to see the ocean & dine at Bistro La Minette again. I was there when it re-opened, eager for my dining fix. I want to thank Chef Peter and his family, and all those associated wth the restaurant for the pleasure obtained from the dining experiences you offered to me. Good luck going forward - you will be missed! - Allyson Frank

Over many years we have celebrated our wedding anniversary which is on Bastille Day when they have had a special meal. Last night we celebrated a quiet but delicious dinner with their regular French flair for the last time before they close their doors.
Going to miss this place dearly... a Queen Village gem... If you have chance to get in before they close, it's a must do

Thrilled to hear they are closing up business. Activists came to them with concerns about them selling diseased duck livers (foie gras) and the owner counter protested in very cringe ways instead of doing the right thing and removing diseased duck livers from their menu.
This poorly handled pressure lead to the loss of many customers and now they will no longer be in business and ducks will no longer be tortured to supply their menu!
If you are against cruelty to animals please go vegan to align your values with your actions, thank you.

We are truly sad this restaurant is closing. Good bread, wine in pichet, bistro format, excellent cooking. The next replacement will probably eliminate high quality bread and traditional French dishes.
