I was so excited for this but to be completely honest, I was a little disappointed with this one. Portion sizes are ok and a few items were sold out. The food wasn’t terrible but something seemed to be missing. Still go check them out. Everyone’s take won’t be the same.
Shrimp Fried rice: nicely sized shrimp, moderately flavored
Crab fried rice: lacked crab and also moderately flavored, but the shrimp made up for it
Jerk chicken roll: not bad, a little more jerk would’ve definitely bumped it up a notch
Soul Roll: pretty good
Ox tail wonton: I like the idea but I think the flavor elements with the sweet potato and the inside texture threw it off.

I wanted to like this...but my magnolia project beef was not good at all. Flavorless beef, even the sauce was bland. I tasted the ginger throughout, but I was disappointed. Maybe I have to try something else, but this wasn't it.

I was SO excited to support this Black-owned business! I’m almost never in Philly, but I made it a point to stop by Black Dragon. I love supporting spots that keep money flowing, recirculating in our community, and this one was bright, clean, and super inviting. A PERFECT gem!! Besides TikTok posts truly had me in awe!
The staff was warm, attentive, patient, and friendly, which made the experience even better.
Pros:
• The service was top-tier.
• The egg roll was juicy and flavorful.
• The homemade juices are absolutely AMAZING - the mango 🥭 is my favorite!
Cons:
• The food was way too salty, which isn’t great for our community given how common high blood pressure and other health issues are.
• The shrimp lo mein, salmon fried rice, and oxtail lo mein were salty... over-seasoned.
• The greens had a burnt, smoky flavor, and the mac and cheese needed a little more flavor.
I’m only sharing this because I truly want to see this business thrive. In hopes that the staff make a few tweaks to the seasoning could make a world of difference!
Wishing Black Dragon all the success, if you’re in the area, definitely check them out and show some love! 💛

Came here from Jersey and it was partially worth the trip. But Ill be back to try other items. Salmon fried rice wasn't that good to me but my sweet potato sweet and sour chicken was better.
Sweet potato donuts were fried really hard and tasty greasy. My peach cobbler wontons were pretty tasty.
I will absolutely be back to try other egg rolls. That salmon egg roll was perfection 10/10. 👌🏽
A lot of items weren't available which was a bummer. But just another reason for me to come back.

Went to Black Dragon today — honestly, almost everything was sold out. I decided to try a few things anyway:
Soul Roll: not that great.
Salmon Cheesesteak Roll: very tasty!
Honey Lemon Pepper Wings (8 pcs): not a fan.
Seafood “Shrimp” Mac & Cheese: downright disgusting.
Strawberry Cheesecake Wonton: surprisingly very tasty.
Overall, I was disappointed that so much was sold out. Since I had already made the trip, I didn’t want to leave empty-handed, but it definitely wasn’t worth it. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I don’t mind food being a bit expensive. But the food went downhill. Straight up trash
The food is so good. I have no words and no complaints and their juice is made of fresh.
It was a slow and lazy Saturday. The food was expensive for the quality..
But there was a lot so the portions were good. Just heavy, and greasy.

OMG! Yoooooo... This food was soooo good! Best of corner store Chinese food meets African diaspora faves. Soul egg roll... I want one for lunch every day next week. Jerk chicken egg roll... need one for dinner all next week, too. And that Mongolian beef plate with the cabbage?!? Jeez oh man. Made me wanna sit with the chef and get that recipe bc I live in Jersey. Kinda pricey yes but matches with the rise on food costs everywhere these days. And so worth it. I'll be back to try more

I had high hopes because I’ve seen people rave about the food here. The food was just okay. I ordered a lot from the menu. What stood out the most when I ate were the wings. The fried wings were extremely bland and tough/chewy and definitely not worth $15. I won’t be back.

Upon arrival the young lady at the front was very kind. The establishment have plenty of of seating options . The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the juice the blueberry lemonade was very tasty. I also enjoy The salmon fried rice. I order the peach dessert it was pretty tasty. I also ordered the oxtail one times they were good. The food came out in a timely manner. The atmosphere was peaceful they also have a very cool picture of Gillie and Wallo on the wall that was cute. I read this establishment five stars
