I attended a wedding in early October 2024 at The Philadelphia Free Library and Brûlée Catering provided the foods and drinks. Every morsel and drop was totally delicious, and their wait staff was very knowledgeable and polite. I ate the black cod with mashed potatoes and it was so scrumptious. Their salad was equally tasty! I also drank a small glass of dark chocolate liqueur and a small glass of wine during the meal and of course, water. ?Decaf coffee and dessert - the wedding cake - was superb as well. Brûlée catering is outstanding. ? Thank you to all their cooks, bakers, bartenders, and to Teishon, Cody, and Alaina for all your fantastic knowledge about food, drinks and people’s tastes about edibles. ?

We had our wedding at the Parkway Central Library in Philadelphia in June of 2024 with Brulee catering. The staff and chefs at Brulee were excellent. They kept everything running smoothly and the food was tasty. If this review was just about them, we would be able to give a fully glowing review. Unfortunately, Brulee’s venue coordinator was disastrous and nearly ruined our wedding by creating an unsafe situation that injured one of our guests.
When we toured the venue, we specifically asked about dangerous steps around the mezzanine level where cocktail hour is held. We were reassured by the coordinator that these would be blocked or guests would be moved away from the area. On the day of our wedding, the steps were not blocked in any way and the only safety measure was a small amount of tape marking the steps.
One of our guests fell down these steps and hit his head, which caused a lot of bleeding and required hospitalization. Thankfully, he is ok and only required some stitches, but this was a disaster that should not have happened.
If you are having a wedding at the Parkway Central Library - please make sure that the steps are blocked and guests are moved away from the area.
On top of this, the coordinator we worked with was extremely disorganized and unresponsive. She mixed up details about our wedding often, and her lack of management and responsiveness added stress that we did not need. If we did not have to use Brulee as required by the venue, we would not have done so due to this coordinator.
Fortunately for you, this coordinator is no longer working with Brulee. In another bizarre move, she told us the night of our wedding that it was her last day with the company and to talk to “someone over there” if we needed anything after the wedding.
We really appreciate the work of the staff and chefs - they were great and highly recommended. It is a shame that the coordinator was not up to their level.

Not only is the museum venue stunning and fun in and of itself, but Brulee is a well-oiled machine that makes everything run smoothly from start to finish. Every single staff member was friendly, helpful, and professional. They executed everything we asked them to do perfectly, and they went above and beyond. The food was the best wedding food we've ever had. It was delicious, and the entrees came out fast (and piping hot!). I could not wait to write a review because it is unusual to feel the affair was better than dreamed and hoped for. I owe all the thanks to Lorena Somma, Senior Catering Sales Manager at the Museum of the American Revolution and her staff especially John, Kenya, Michaela and Victor. We worked with Lorena for almost two years and every interaction, requests, endless questions were all received with friendly, professional and capable responses. I thought she should have blocked my calls towards the end ( because she was on my speed dial I called so much), but she always received me with kindness and concern. She treated my event as if it was the only event she had to manage. The ceremony and reception ran without a hitch and better than we could imagine. I want to adopt her into our family because she made a dream come true. All the outside vendors also loved her and said how wonderful she is to work with.The food was incredible, the service impeccable. We had a long cocktail hour and full trays of food were served up until the start of dinner. I wanted to make sure there was ample food. It was beyond ample. All personal food requests at the reception where honored and never was anyone searching for a waiter to ask for something. The staff was quiet and polite. John and Kenya made sure that all I had to do is have a great time. And I surely did. John and Kenya, event captains, made sure the food was served at the proper time and to the proper people. Victor treated the vendors with respect and made sure they got served. Michaela (K) couldn’t have been anymore helpful to the bride and wedding party.

They were professional and on top of things while not making our guests feel smothered and staying flexible enough that we ended up with no timing issues. During the planning process Rose was very communicative and made very helpful suggestions/modifications. Overall we had a great experience and I would love to use Brulee again!!
