My first visit was very pleasant. We went for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded at all. The menu had many great options. It was hard to choose. I end up getting the brisket cheese steak which was extremely good. The 3 people with me loved their dishes as well. The mimosa tower is worth it for a group! The waiter was also cool. I recommend this place to everyone. They made a good impression.

Made a comprehensive list of all the problems with my visit. I will say my crab cake Benedict was fine but not great enough to outweigh all these problems. I hope this can be considered constructive because I really do want this place to be great.1. Couldn't find the place - Google said Brother’s Grub but the building said Milo’s and when you walk in everything says Jacob’s2. Couldn’t open door, no sign to indicate how to open it. Had to get help from some customers in the window.3. Was seated at a dirty table with no table cloth4. Asked for a table cloth and they said they “didn’t serve table cloths after an (unspecified) certain time” but all other tables had cloths whether people were seated there or not5. No water or utensils were provided until we asked6. Forgot our orange juice7. Long (30+ min) wait for food even though not many people were there and everyone around was leaving8. No water refills - we weren’t checked on except once or twice during our entire time there9. Food was fine but our waitress was not transparent about upcharges - $1 for cheese, $1 for pepper and onions, $7 for a quarter sized salmon patty10. Automatic gratuity - menu was not transparent about that either

I was looking for a place with a good crab cake. Well I stopped by for a to go plate but ended up sitting at the bar and dining in. Atmosphere was great vibes. And the crab cake sandwich and garden salad I received was awesomeness!!! I needed this experience to know I have a place to come and have great crab cakes. It was more on the healthy side and away from the deep fried side. My type of food party!!

If ZERO stars was an option I would SURELY choose it and here’s why:1.) This establishment does not know what CUSTOMER SERVICE is…they legit had my wife and I waiting for 45 min to receive our food and when it came out it was COLD!!!! Also, while we were waiting for our cold food…our waiter did not ever bother too check in…I legit had to ask other waiters to retrieve our waiter to get an update on when our food was coming out ??‍♂️and to make matters worse the first waiter I asked to retrieve her (who was a young boy) legit responded there was NOTHING he could do about the situation, before deciding to finally go get our waiter…2.) The spot was extremely COLD…it’s mid-November and y’all don’t turn your heat on? Like what?!!!3.) When our 45 min LATE food did finally come out the waiter did NOT even apologize for the inconvenience….not to mention when I looked around the restaurant there maybe about 20-30 other people in there and only one table (A white couple) had their food…smh. After this late behind meal the food should have be FREE….4.) Unprofessionalism…tell me why the hostess was not trying to do her job…rather then guide us to our seats, she told us where we could sit because she was just too LAZY smh….and tell me why this same hostess decided that she was hungry and started to eat a meal from the restaurant at the HOST stand?!!!! I cannot make this stuff up?!! How you got time to devour a whole meal but NOT help people to their table?! ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️5.) After all of this nonsense the restaurant has the nerve to include a 20% tip on anything that you order…they are legit getting away with murder…and what is even more SAD is that this is a black business….come on black people we have to be better and really be on top of BASIC professionalism and service!!!So please BEWARE at all costs, unless you want a TERRIBLE time…

We waited an hour food and it never came so we left. We ordered a breakfast sandwich that should take 5 minutes to prepare and there were a total of maybe 4 tables. It was not busy at all and I have no idea what could possibly be the explanation for that, but I will not be returning.

Waste. Of. Money. Never. Again. Poor service, poor communication, poor food quality. Money spent did not match what was offered or delivered for birthday party.

Last night, I previewed the upcoming dinner menu for Brotherly Grub at Jacob's Northwest and it was divine? This Black women-owned restaurant in Northwest Philly is about to be a force to be reckoned with when they transform this popular brunch/lunch spot into a full fledged all day spot!

Food was incredibly good. Nice, inviting, open atmosphere for a Sunday brunch.

Vegetarian options: Cauliflower Cheesesteak should not be missed.

A bit of a wait, like 45 minutes... but to be fair the food was excellent. Fish cooked perfect and tasted totally fresh. The crab Benedict with the sautéed spinach was unexpectedly delightful. Better than anything I've recently had in avenida, naples, South Miami, key largo or manayunk.

I placed a door dash order. I went to pick up my order after being told that it was ready. When I get there I immediately got the sense that there was no sense of organization with their to-go orders. I'm eventually told that I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes and there appeared to be no concern about the delay. I returned after 30 minutes giving them more time just in case. I finally received my food and the presentation was horrible and it was cold. I checked my bag and there was no syrup so I went back in to get it. I understand that restaurants are busy and they tend to have to focus more of their attention on customers who are dining in. However, the lack of professionalism in is place really needs to be addressed.
