I love supporting black owned business!Ordered the fish & grits, with the lemon garlic sauce! It was amazing, although the lemon garlic sauce was a little different than what I was used to 🤭 Can’t wait to go again & try something else! The atmosphere was really nice, with some good R & B playing in the background! And the service was amazing! I had a few questions about the food, & the waiter answered them with a smile. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Interior feels dirty. Asked for a veggie omelette with no mushrooms, they said they couldn't do it because it was a mix. There was only one other table, it's weird they can't make food to order as a restaurant. But whatever. The issue was finding a 6in piece of red string cooked into my omelette. I let our server know, he immediately took it away, came back, said he honestly didn't know what it was from. They took it off my bill.
I respect the servers. I don't respect BOH on this. Yuck. And worst of all my boyfriend ordered the same thing and ate his faster, but it's the same mix?? He says I should have gotten everything comped because he was disgusted. I left feeling hungry and kind of sick.

I feel that I was conned. The receipts print with the ability to use Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay for the total, I did so but was told that wouldn't work and I needed to pay cash. I paid cash but guess what, my credit card bill still has the charge on it so I essentially paid twice. I'm disputing but hard to prove you paid cash. Also they baked the tip into the total when we only had two people! On top of that, total was $42 and I gave him $60 and he asked if I wanted change which is ridiculous given the fact they already charged a 20% service fee on the bill. Overall this was a very poor experience. I do not recommend this place at all and I paid twice for this poor experience. Food was just OK so not worth it.

Unfortunately, this dining experience fell well short of expectations. The food was notably bland and lacking in seasoning, while the mushrooms had an unpleasantly chewy texture that made them difficult to enjoy.
The situation took a concerning turn when my dining companion discovered what appeared to be a red string in her omelette. This discovery was deeply unsettling and raised immediate questions about kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
The foreign object in the food completely destroyed our appetite and left us both feeling uncomfortable about what we had already consumed. What should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a worrying experience that overshadowed the entire evening.
Given the combination of poor food quality and the serious hygiene concern, I cannot recommend this establishment and would not consider returning.

EJ my server was the best and the kindest! The workers are so friendly! The food is good. It is hot in here, so come dress properly BUT all in all I will def come back!

We will pass on this place in Philly for a wedding needed a place that can hold 8 stopped by Sunday at 9:50 they open at 10 was talking to a gentleman about getting accommodations just to have a lady with glasses come out to say we are not open and come back no worries we won't because im sure thats the service we would have thanks for saving us from going

Was upset when I came in the young man told me the system was down only cash today. Had to walk to atm and it was very hot. Then I wanted to order the starters was told no salmon! No crab! No turkey bacon! I was excited to come here but after the experience I had I’m very upset. Customer service was very good though.
