Have been prior and will return. Consistently great food and drinks. Was a bit rushed this time with apps arriving quickly and barely finished them and out came main course. Definitely worth going and making it a regular on the list of returns.

Visited Bud & Marilyn's for a pre-theater meal. We had made a reservation, and were seated promptly upon arrival. The service was quick and friendly. Our server was helpful with recommendations and suggestions. We opted for the the Buttered Pork Sirloin and the Short Rib Stroganoff. We didn't order drinks, but the bar seemed to have plenty of good offerings. The pork was tender, juicy and delicious. It was cooked perfectly and the accompanying sauce was delicious. The short rib meat was excellent; not fatty as is sometimes the case. The combination of noodles, short rib and stroganoff sauce really was appealing. I look forward to returning to try some of the other menu items.

Bud and Marilyn's consistently delivers good food in a fun setting. My husband and I often go here for dates.

My wife and I dined here while spending a weekend in Center City. The menu is great, lots of different choices at reasonable prices. I had the Caesar salad which was excellent. Really good dressing. It had some things in it not usually found in a Caeser (parsley, radish or jicama), but it worked. I was disappointed in the fried chicken. It had a nice crust and good size portion. But it was slightly overdone and dry (obviously not brined) and lacked seasoning. My wife liked the ribs, although the slaw was buried under all the sauce. Service was not very attentive, but perlt peeve is when dinner is served while we are eating salad. Overall, not bad, but expect better from this ownership team.

My friend and I had dinner here before an event at the Miller Theater and it was the perfect spot! The food was outstanding! We had the crab hush puppies and pimento & cheese...WOOOOOOW! We shared the caesar salad (big and perfect maybe even for three)-dressing was lightly applied (which I prefer) and the romaine was fresh. For our main course we had fried chicken w/biscuits and the braised beef stroganoff. BOTH were outstanding and will be the main reason we return! Last but certainly not least......the banana cream pie ! Fresh bananas that had been sliced and caramelized.....perfect graham cracker or possibly vanilla wafer crust! The only small, tiny negative was the place is tight! Tables are very close to one another and you are in some places eating with your neighbors, so conversations should stay relatively subdued. BUT all that said this is a RETURN IMMEDIATELY restaurant!

The food here used to be good, unfortunately the quality seems to have declined. We shared the wedge salad with grilled chicken and the tofu bowl for brunch. If I got this food in a hospital cafeteria, I'd be thrilled. In a nice sit down restaurant, pretty meh

I try to go to Bud & Marilyn's whenever I am in Philly. On this visit I brought in a newbie for the fried chicken, and she loved it. We started with the tuna tostada shareable, and it was a great palate waker-upper. So fresh and delicious! Great mix of textures. I had the salmon with autumn veggies and it rocked. Crispy skin and succulent fish. We capped our meal off with the banana cream pie, which is the only version of that dish that I've ever liked... and at Bud & Marilyn's I LOVE it. A little noisy, as usual, but with everyone having such good times, who can blame them! Great service too.

The people were fantastic! Everyone from the host that greeted at us, to our server, to the extra wait staff that was pitching in, were friendly and efficient. Our food came out amazingly fast. We were there after an Eagles game so it was a rowdy and loud environment. It did not bother us. Sadly, both our fried chicken, and our buttermilk biscuits were very dry. This is not what we have enjoyed in the past and hope it was just a one time oversight.

This was our 2nd visit to Bud & Marilyn's and it was delightful agaiin, everything about it. We appreciated splitting an entree and salad. Both were substantial so we avoided over-eating and spending too much. Thank you for this memorable meal! We'll be back :-)

We had a resy for 6pm on a Tues and we're seated right away. My dinner companions ordered the crab and pasta and sausage dish and the barbecued rib dish. I ordered the kimchi rice with temporary shrimp. All three dishes were delicious. My colleague didn't care for the cornbread that came with the ribs. He said it was too dense for his liking. Our drinks were delicious. We got margarita and white wine and a beer and all three were great. It was very loud during our meal and we had to use raised voices to have conversation. The server was out outstanding as was his assistant who brought drink drinks.

We had reservations during Happy Hour and were presented with both the traditional menu and the Happy Hour menu, which we requested to see. I ordered a sandwich from the Happy Hour menu, but it wasn't clear that it would be a single, small slider. While it was delicious, it was not enough for a full meal (it wasn't listed as a starter). I ended up ordering a side of Cheese Curds, which were fantastic! My friend chose the burger and beer Happy Hour special. To complement her burger, she also ordered a side of fries. She mentioned that the burger was a good, standard option. Although the food was tasty, the service was incredibly slow, and the restaurant was not crowded. My slider was served before both of our drinks arrived. The server informed us that the bar was backed up, but it was not a busy night. The timing of everything was just off. We were headed to a show afterward and requested our check, but we waited about 15 minutes for it to be brought to our table. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, I wouldn't rush back.

Great food in the perfect location! We go every time we have theatre tickets!! Highly recommend getting an assortment of appetizers so you can taste as many of their shareables/small plates as possible.

Bud and Marilyn's is a longtime favorite as it never disappoints. Cheese curds for an app and the Marilyn's fried chicken entree were delicious. Others in our party had meatloaf and chicken and dumplings and reported they were delicious; however, a comment was made that there were more dumplings than chicken. Peanut butter chocolate cake was a delicious way to finish the meal and the four of us shared the very large slice.

From the moment we walked in, every member of the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was every bit as delicious as we hoped, and the cocktails were perfectly balanced and flavorful. The only regret we had was not saving room for a slice of their cake—we'll definitely be back to fix that next time!

I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast here during a recent work trip. The eggs Benedict were a standout, especially impressive for an airport restaurant due to the perfectly poached eggs. While the spinach wasn't quite to my taste, the overall meal was excellent. Service was also top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a quality sit-down breakfast!
