In the past, I've really enjoyed Buddakan, but this last visit was not enjoyable. We arrived early and rather than seat us, the hostess made us wait 30 minutes until all guests arrived. That would be fine and I didn't mind but she actively rolled her eyes at us and seemed to be annoyed that we hoped to be seated a bit earlier. If I were at the DMV, I would understand this lack of hospitality, but at a restaurant or hotel, I would expect service. I was shocked at the...
I have been to Buddah several times and I am never disappointed with my meal. I was with three friends and we all shared some appetizers and some main courses and everything was delicious and we even had plenty to take home after stuffing ourselves. Buddakan is a Philadelphia institution, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a beautiful venue.
Buddakan never disappoints. On contrary, they keep surprising us with new specials ( crispy Brussels sprouts is delicious and the desert with coconut and guava sorbet is very tasty ) They keep the atmosphere romantic, yet trendy, they atmosphere is very relaxing and private.
