Amazing as usual. Food is always spectacular as well as service. Had the hash brown a few times but I prefer the Mac and cheese. The Baked Alaska is amazing. My only complaint is that we had 2 glasses of wine at the bar prior to dinner. The bill was $58 for 2 glasses of house wine. A bit steep. Overall, another fantastic dinner at Butcher and Singer.

We got in for an early res, so it was quiet and got louder through our meal. Food was delicious! Service was great- even accommodated my weird dislike of martini glasses for my Manhattan and served it in a coupe! We were celebrating our anniversary and everyone kept congratulating us. It was a great dinner. A worthwhile splurge for sure.

I had my birthday dinner here yesterday, and it was absolutely terrible. From start to finish, the experience was one of the worst I've ever had at a supposedly fine dining establishment. It took over an hour just for a server to approach our table so we could place our order. Then, the bread and appetizers took another hour to arrive. Throughout the evening, there was virtually no table service — we had to flag people down for everything, from refills to basic attention. To make things worse, one of my friends brought a small birthday cake to celebrate. After presenting it, our server disappeared for 30 minutes, leaving us with no utensils, no plates, nothing. When we finally tracked her down and asked if we could simply cut the cake ourselves, she said there would be a “cutting fee per person” — six of us in total. I told her we'd just do it ourselves, but she insisted the fee would still apply even if we cut it. Completely absurd. I didn't want to create a scene on my birthday, so we reluctantly agreed, and then it took them another eternity to bring the cake back out. The whole ordeal felt like they were intentionally making the night difficult and ruining it. For a restaurant of this reputation and price point, the service, attitude, and basic hospitality were shockingly bad. What should have been a special birthday celebration turned into an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I will never return and would not recommend Butcher and Singer to anyone looking for a quality dining experience or respectful service.

One of the best steakhouse in America! Loved it, great food, impeccable service set in a wonderful location. Thank you and kudos to the entire team

After all these years, still upholding its Stephen Starr level of excellence. Food was great, all the standards, plus some new riffs on classics: stuffed hash browns? Outstanding! Bartenders are friendly, yet very professional. And the place still has that fun "Mid-Century Supper Club" feel. A great night out.

Entrees were very salty Sea bass Delmonico They were taken off our bill with apologies from a manager but because of time constraints, we did not have time to order another entree

I highly recommend Butcher and Singer. When I made the reservation I told them it was our wedding anniversary and we would like a nice / private table. They placed us at a table that wasn't close to other diners so we could talk and have privacy. However the way the restaurant is designed you are never too close to the other diners. The decor is beautiful, it has many nice touches like beautiful chandeliers and window treatments, quite unlike other steakhouses I have been to which are just dark wood everywhere. The server was excellent and throughout the evening we had beverage refills and checks to make sure everything was ok. The food was delicious, our steaks were melt in your mouth tender. If you want an outstanding meal with unparalleled ambiance and service I recommend Butcher and Singer.

Unfortunately, this was an off night for the restaurant. We ordered three 8oz filets with one medium rare and the other two medium. The medium rare and cold. The medium filets were way overcooked, dry and cool. The sides arrived several minutes after the mains and were ok. Our meals were comped by the restaurant which we felt was appropriate given the less than stellar performance at this high-end restaurant.
