Went for Top it Off Brunch for my birthday and did NOT disappoint! Food was great and drinks were flowing. We sat on the heated patio which was great. The restaurant opens up as you keep walking back, much larger than originally expected. Our waiter was super attentive as well. Have done many bottomless brunches before and this one is in my top 5! For larger parties you have to call and the email the management but the process was seamless. Will be returning.

The food was very very good, I recommend the jalapeno cornbread and the bacon honey biscuits. My wife's ny strip with black truffle bernaise sauce was incredible. My Nashville hot chicken hen was recommend by our server and she was 100% right. The beer n cocktails menu was awesome and the local brewed beers were awesome. I recommend the double chocolate porter. The staff was super friendly and accommodating since we had two little kids with us, 10yr old n a 3yr old. They made smaller children's portions of the Royale with cheese burger for my oldest son and a small kids portion of spaghetti n meatballs. The chef was so nice that he insisted on sending a dessert of chocolate chip cookie skillet with ice cream out to us for my son's. It was greatly appreciated I will absolutely make the butcher bar our spot to eat on every trip back to Philadelphia. Next time we go we want to try the Through which is there sampler of all things meat.... we seen it and it looked incredible. Thank you to everyone at this establishment who made the visit there a great one.

Tried to go to this location for lunch. When we walked in, the host looked at us and said, You can sit at the bar, but I can't promise you'll get food. We're too busy. We turned around and walked right out. Very rude.

Was so excited to try this restaurant in light of all the reviews. We tried to get a reservation during our visit in February to Philly so we were so happy when we were able to get a reservation for our March visit. Unfortunately, this was a big let down. The restaurant was quaint and truly embraced the butcher name. The food and service was a disappointment. We order several appetizers, sides, and Entrees and there was no rhyme or reason on how the food came out. Food was brought to table piece mill. The first dish brought to table was a side of french fries mind you no entree. The entree came 15 minutes later.... Appetizer was brought out at end of meal and not everyone in our party had food. Two of us sat there while others had their meals. I waited almost 40 minutes for a wedge salad even though cooked entrees had come out for others in our party. Not what I would have called a wedge salad. Looked like a sad side salad. Bone Marrow appetizer came at end of meal and was all bone and sauce. Sent back and replacement was much better. Lamb Entree was dry overcooked and floating in oil rather than the Lucious wine and lemon as indicated in menu Not sure if it was just an off night as the menu looked great but was so disappointed that we all did not get to eat together and quality of food was lacking. Glad we did not order $350 trough of meat but did sound interesting. If you are adventurous and want to try this restaurant reservations are highly recommended.

Solid place for a steak and a drink at the bar; professional service and good steak house / bar vibe. There will be some solid Philly boys at the end of the bar having a good night out, a fun couple on the other side of you getting the night started, your drinks will be well made and there is a fine selection of beer if that's your desire, and if someone needs to get tossed the bartenders are good at that too.

Music and service were wonderful.Spacing is a lil tight, I sat in the upper patio / balcony area, appears convertible w large windows. The food. Amazing. As the name suggests definitely geared toward carnivores who enjoy grilled & smoked meat. Had the lamb and it was possibly one of the best in my life.If you can, make a reservation.
