Today I visited Càphê Roasters with my wife and young son, who uses a wheelchair, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional experience we had. From the moment we approached the entrance, the staff’s warmth and attentiveness set the tone for an unforgettable visit. Before we even reached the door, a friendly team member greeted us with a genuine smile, held the door open, and promptly operated the chair lift to ensure we could access their space with ease. This kind of proactive, thoughtful service is rare and made us feel truly welcomed.
Despite the bustling atmosphere inside the busy café, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They quickly rearranged seating to create a comfortable space for us to enjoy our meal, ensuring my son could navigate easily. To our delight, they even surprised him with a complimentary mango-condensed milk soft serve, which brought the biggest smile to his face. The gesture was so kind and unexpected, adding a special touch to our day.
Now, let’s talk about the food and drinks - which was absolutely phenomenal! We ordered the fried chicken banh mi with a reduced gochujang sauce, and it was a masterpiece of flavors. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the bread was fresh and toasted just right, and the adjusted sauce gave it a gentle kick that suited our tastes perfectly. The egg coffee was a revelation—rich, creamy, and unlike anything we’ve had before, with a velvety texture that felt indulgent yet balanced. I was told by a staff that it was made with their Vietnamese Robusto beans - rich, slightly fruity and strong finish, complements the silky egg custard perfectly. The mango coconut matcha was equally delightful, leaving us savouring after every sip. Every offering was thoughtfully crafted, and downright delicious.
As Canadians, we’re used to friendly service, but the team at Càphê Roasters took hospitality to another level. Their genuine care, attention to detail, and ability to make us feel like valued guests in the midst of a busy day was truly remarkable. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing, and we can’t wait to return. Càphê Roasters appeared to be much more than a café - it’s an inspiring place where incredible food meets heartfelt service. Highly highly recommended! Last note: Càphê’s got killer merch that’s really high quality and well designed.

Caphe Roasters has been on my list to try for a long time! I stopped in to try a coffee and banh mi.

I got the salted brulee coffee. I wasn’t sure how to feel about it. I found it to be bitter, I thought I would like it a lot more because I do prefer salty > sweet.

The fried chicken banh mi was a complete miss for me. The bread got soggy from the wetness of the pickled veggies I’m assuming. The chicken wasn’t crispy enough and had the sweetest sauce I’ve ever tasted. That, combined with the sweetness of the pickled veggies, made me feel like I was eating a dessert. It was not a good combination at all. There also were not a lot of toppings in there.

I could not find any seating in here to eat and work, so it was an overall not great experience. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this place and I was disappointed.

When I say this was one of the best matchas I ever had I mean it. I got the Matcha float and it was so good. I’m still thinking about it today. I gave the service four stars because they were a little slow, but it had a lot of people so it was justified. Also, I had a lot of police there so take it how you want. But I would definitely go again.

We came to Caphe Roasters on a weekend in Philly from NY because we had a wedding to attend. It is hard to find parking around the area which is a little shady. The interior is huge and very clean, but little to no free seats because they have a lot of customers.

I scanned the menu QR code and ordered online because the line was long, only to realize that the online order is estimated to be 45 minutes. I did happen to buy their steamed pandan and mungbean cake and honeycomb cake and asked the staff member about the online order. She let me know that she'd let the kitchen staff know but the order would still take around 20 minutes because they need to cook the ingredients for the sandwiches which was very nice of her.

We ordered the Vietnamese latte, mango coconut matcha, Chu Leo's sando, and an OG banh mi. The drinks came out fast. The Vietnamese latte is great! The vietnamese espresso is delicious and made us want to buy the beans. The mango coconut matcha had a strong matcha flavor, but I was hoping for the mango to really peak through. There were chunks of mango at the top though which were sweet. Chu Leo's sando was super fresh and definitely looked like a summer sandwich. The vegetables were vibrant and combined with the sauce, created an addictive sandwich. The OG Banh mi was also really good. The bread was crispy and the pickled vegetables cut through any fat. The pandan-mungbean cake was so delicious! I highly recommend getting it and trying it especially with the coconut cream. We bought a second container of it and a bag of coffee beans and also got some of their stickers which were free!

Overall highly recommend checking Caphe Roasters out and trying their drinks and sandwiches! We'd definitely go back when we're in Philly

The coffee, matcha and egg sandos are so delicious!!!!! My friend and I who are visiting from out of town had an amazing experience here. It’s one of those places where you can tell the cafe was made for the love of food. I would recommend this to anybody looking for amazing matcha or coffee!! If I lived in Philly, I’d come here at least once a week lol. A cultural culinary experience 💖 the sandwich made my friend cry from happiness LMAO.

Ume plum tea is so refreshing! Banh mi options are yum too. Love that they have a variety of Asian drinks and southeast asian food, excited to hear they're expanding

The atmosphere was nice, but everything else was disappointing. I ordered the egg coffee, and it was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I was told to stir the egg cold foam into the drink, but it was nearly impossible—the foam was dense and topped with cocoa powder that clumped up when mixed. It just didn’t work.

The service was also lacking. They ignored my initial order, and one of the workers made herself a drink using the communal stirring spoon—then put it in her mouth and didn’t even wash it before putting it back. That was honestly off-putting.

I really don’t understand the hype around this place.
