First and last time going there
We ordered some ice cream for take out who ever did our order didn’t put no napkins and no spoons how are you supposed to eat it with your hands?
It’s ridiculous to pay $25 per 3 ice cream
I wanted to try the service and go back next for dinner but it’s a no go
I ordered a cheesesteak and chicken tender platter for pick up. I asked for the cheesesteak to have fried onions, and the onions are raw. They didn’t even try to dice the onions, they are pebble size pieces of raw onion. They gave me a kids meal chicken tenders which I asked for a regular order, which worked out anyway considering I didn’t eat it. It’s a chicken cutlet, sliced and thrown on top of a handful of fries. I’m honestly confused they thought that was acceptable.
I had the drunken chicken cheesesteak, it was super good. It’s not on the menu but available upon request. I also tried the cheese pizza which was also good. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.
I saw on reddit this place was recommended for amazing Philly cheese steaks amongst locals. It delivered and was the best I've ever had. The young lady taking care of my order was very nice and helpful. Definitely recommended
Cheesesteak was incredible. Delicious bread and Cooper sharp cheese. Will be making another trip!
Very good American Italian food. Great service and atmosphere
💋🤌
Horrible
My friends and I were heading home from a mini road trip when we realized we’ll be passing by Cafe Carmela. We decided to stop and pick up some cheesesteaks for dinner because it has great reviews for having the best cheesesteak in Northeast Philadelphia and has even been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer. While I would agree that the cheesesteaks were good, I have to say the customer service was terrible. I placed an online order for two cheesesteaks 30 minutes ahead of time, while my friend ordered three cheesesteaks and a whole pizza. When we arrived, my friend's order was ready, but the cashier informed me that my order would be out in a few minutes. I patiently waited for 20 minutes before I approached the cashier to ask about my order, as I noticed the restaurant was very busy and the phones were ringing with new orders. She told me again that it would take a few more minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes with no sign of my order, I asked to speak to a manager to understand why my two cheesesteaks weren't ready. The cashier then sent over what I presumed was the head waitress, who went to check on my order, but it still wasn’t prepared. At this point, I asked the waitress for a refund, as I no longer wanted the cheesesteaks. The staff continued to manage the restaurant, answering calls, and left me waiting for updates. I requested my money back a second time to expedite the process. The hostess informed me that there was no manager on duty at the moment and that she was trying to reach her boss for approval on the refund, but was unable to do so. Finally, the waitress returned and handed my order to the cashier. After 45 minutes of waiting—plus the 30 minutes for my online order—I once again told the cashier that I did not want the cheesesteaks and requested my refund. The cashier said she couldn’t process the refund without her boss's approval and didn't know how to work the computer system for refunds. Throughout this ordeal, no one offered an apology for the inconvenience. Eventually, the head waitress had a moment to address the situation and instructed the cashier to give me my full refund along with the cheesesteaks. This entire experience prompted me to write this review, as it was the worst experience ever at this cafe/restaurant.
The hate Black Muslims , no hate should be tolerated in the USA. Do not patronize!!!

Apparently the waitress hates black and Muslims. Would NEVER patronize.

Came here on the weekend but in the middle of the afternoon to celebrate a birthday.... Nice clean restaurant, tables fairly close but still roomy enough. The servers did a great job and the food came out surprisingly fast, which was nice.
We thought that the casesar salads were excellent. The romaine was fresh and a nice dark green and the croutons were a great texture, not too hard.
The eggplant and ricotta sandwich was very good, especially the cheese which has a fantastic texture!..the only criticism being the roll could have been larger to fit in the contents of the sandwich. We were blown away by the Prov Pie (upside down) and thought it was one of the best pizzas we ever had (we're Philly natives and all over age 60, so that must say something!)

Wow, this spot definitely exceeded my expectations! Let's jump right into it...one of the BEST cheesesteaks I've had in Philly! Cheese pizza was delicious, too!
Our server, Jocelyn, was super friendly and passionate, she's definitely an asset to the business.
Highly recommend this spot 🔥
