Since when is a group of 3 a large party?
I’ve been coming here for 10+ years with my family and unfortunately we won’t be coming here any more.
I came to Cafe Liz on Sunday with my mother and grandmother. We waited for 30-45 minutes to get our appetizer and around an hour for the waitress to take our order. It took us 1h 30min to get our main plates and they were lackluster. The steak was unseasoned and half of the bacalao was inedible due to the cut of the “fillet”.
To top it all off our bill came with a “large party fee” for our table of three with a 18% tip. Since when is a party of 3 a large party?
They could’ve easily gotten a larger tip (which we’ve given for years) if they didn’t try to pull a sleazy move like that.
Cafe Liz is a shell of what it used to be.

Cool spot with great service. I got their steak lunch special for 15$ and was happy. It’s a lot of food. I had French fries black beans and their chicken soup. I’ll eat a well done steak but if that’s not for you definitely ask them to cook it for less time. I saw some other pictures and want to try something else in the future. Seems like it would be fun at night.

Excellent place, it has a very familiar restaurant area with an extraordinary quality of food and we also cannot leave behind its bar, which in addition to having good prices, the atmosphere is great for dancing and has Five Star service.
It was so gratifying to visit Café Liz after so many years. I think around 2003 was the last time I was there and since I had the opportunity to be in the city for a couple of days this place was at the top of my places to have food and drinks. As always it was a great experience like back in the day.
