Amazing little family owned spot in Kensington that’s underrated and under the radar! This to me is the spirit of Philadelphia, punching above its weight and still crushing nonetheless. We had the Bun Canh and the Bun Bo Hue (highly recommended by Frankie from nearby Caphe Roasters). Both had deep, nuanced flavors in their respective broths, and bouncy, fresh noodles. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Heartily recommended!

Mi quang here is really good, honestly better than I expected. Kinda surprising to find a spot this decent right in Kensington, in the middle of what people call the needle area. The food really hits the spot and makes up for everything else around. Not sure why, but the wait for the food was pretty long. Still, once it came out, it was tasty enough that I didn’t mind too much. Walked out feeling satisfied and glad I gave it a try.

Great Vietnamese restaurant serving some delicious mi quang! What a hidden gem - mi quang is a regional Vietnamese dish so I’m surprised to find it served here. The owner is super friendly. The coconut drink was really refreshing. Highly recommend (remember to bring cash)!

Mi Quang is hands down the best dish in Philly IMO. I absolutely love this place and can’t rave about it enough!!!!

They don’t skimp on the herbs — you get a generous, fresh pile that really makes the dish pop. The broth is SO FLAVORFUL. The noddles are always cooked perfectly. The lemongrass chicken is grilled and full of flavor. The spare ribs are so tender and fall off the bone. I love the cha (pork meatloaf), quail egg, rice cracker, peanuts.

Every component is so well balanced in both taste and nutrition. Honestly, I think about this dish every day!!!!

Growing up in Saigon, this hidden gem spot easily is one of the best authentic mi quang I’ve had in the states.

The Mi Quang, as the name suggests, is what to get. Usually not something I crave as much as other things as a Viet person, but it is sooo good, and I have to say this is near the top of my list of best Viet dishes in philly. Highly recommend. For those who aren’t familiar with Mi Quang (the dish), it is really accessible, and easy to eat. Its a chicken noodle soup with a wide egg noodle more like a fettuccine/tagliatelle than the rice noodles you see in pho. The balance of the broth is top tier, and the veggies that come on the side were abundant and fresh.

Go try this place!

Sandwich is yummy and very quick service so I got back to work on time !

Had a very yummy bowl of Mi Quang! The noodles are perfectly cooked, and I liked that they added the puffed rice paper cracker and peanuts. I thought the broth alone could’ve used a touch more of salt/fishsauce, but the table has plenty of condiments to dress it up to your own taste!

** The owner informed me that the restaurant will be closed for a short period of time starting 1/08/25 and will most likely be open for takeout. Keep this in mind to call ahead of time in case they’re closed! **

I agree with other comments regarding the male owner. This guy is very rude and disrespectful. He gave us a big attitude when we recalculated our bill to make sure it was correct. Will never come back even though the food is ok.

The male owner is extremely rude and uneducated. Will not come back no mater how good the food is.

The owner was rude and literature me about tipping them.

He called himself calling me about to the register after a paid for my meal and told me if you dine-in you tip.

I will not return!

This is a hidden gem in the middle of the “needle” town. Hands down one of the best Mi Quang restaurant in the North East.

I came in for brunch on a Monday and got seated right away. The special Mi Quang reminds me of the flavors when I used to live back home. The egg rolls was extremely crispy. I also ordered a Chicken Banh Mi as well and it was amazing.

They’d prefer cash so I would recommend bringing some along. The street is a bit sketchy so look out and don’t leave anything valuable that addicts might be able to see.
