I was there to enjoy my time with my friends the waitress was rude she seemed like she hated her job even though we told her to smile at times... then the manager wanted to act out and make some smarty comments and be disrespectful. I do not recommend this place if you want to come with friends or family

Terrible service. Waited an hour and a half for the food. Waitress took a long time to take our orders then took an hour for the appetizer to come out. They tried to bring us the wrong plates and looked confused when we said that’s not what we ordered. 0 stars

They have a great selection of foods and beautiful outdoor seating. The service was fantastic and we plan to return often. We had a school reunion here last week and it was perfect setting.

The inside had a weird smell to it, but the outside was lovely. We came for a family lunch after church. The sodas don't have refills, which is always a bummer when places cheap out on that.
My sister got a bacon burger ordered medium well that she had to send back twice for missing bacon and then for bring charred black on the bottom. The pasta dishes we ordered were good portions for the price and seemed to be homemade noodles and sauce! Their bread is good, but it should have come out warm. The butter was not soft and hard to smear on cold bread. Their homemade pesto sauce that came with the house salads was very good! We ended up dipping the bread in it. The salads were sad, pitiful little things with 1 tomato slice, 1 cucumber slice, and some lettuce. Nothing else. No croutons or cheese, etc.
Overall it was a good visit, they just definitely have some things that should be improved upon.

I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant with my family and we loved it. A beautiful, organized and clean place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Our waiter was Andrew very kind, attentive, friendly and very professional. He made suggestions from the menu. Excellent made us feel at home. Exquisite food and desserts. Good prices. Avoid, they charge a 4% credit card fee. And if you're not from the city and live in the suburbs why drive into the city to pay an extra 2% sales tax. That's not their fault but to tack on an extra 4% credit card fee instead of just raising their prices makes no sense. I am sick of these restaurants showing lower prices than what's being charged. Menu prices should be what is charged, then offer a cash discount, much more fairer. I will not return nor recommend this restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and food, but very disappointed in the credit card surcharge. It's frustrating to get a bill, throw a card down, and wind up paying more. I can go to plenty of other restaurants where I don't get swindled - I won't be back until it's removed.
Just raise the prices.

We had my father in law’s funeral luncheon yesterday afternoon here at Cafe Michelangelo’s. The food was prepared well, tasted delicious, and was plentiful. The service we received was excellent m! Very kind, caring, compassionate staff. Our server was the most helpful and kindest waitress I’ve ever been waited on in a restaurant. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. I genuinely felt like I was family to her!!! The bartender who made my drink was very skilled as well. What was a difficult time for us was made much easier by the staff of this great establishment!! Thank you, Cafe Michelangelos!!

I had reservations for my party of 16. So they were well aware we were coming and the time. We were seated about 5 -7 minutes after arriving. A waiter finally arrived about 15 later and asked for our drink options. Some wanted separate tabs, he refused. ( I guess it was to hard) No problem for the waitress last year who as excellent! He came back with the drink orders, mixed them up. Brought pitchers of water with not enough cups and left us. We had to flag someone else to get more cups. Another, 15-20 minutes he comes back to take our orders. He takes one table but not the other. Finally took the other. Disappeared again. Half hour later, we see him and ask if we could get some bread. We're getting hungry. We've now been there an hour. He brings us bread. And about 15 minutes after that brings our salads. Half hour later he brings our other table. Their pizza. Meanwhile, everyone else is still waiting. They all finish . It's now been an hour and a half since we ordered and no food. We ask to speak with the manager. His response, we'll we had a party of 40 that came in right before you so we're kind of busy. And pizza is quick. I'm sorry, that's not good business and certainly not a good response. And to just give me a free pound cake to make up for poor service doesn't cut it .
The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are huge. outdoor seating is really pretty.

The lamb was excellent, but it took too long to cook and get served Service too slow, entrance to hostess area was confusing. Place is dark and menus hard to read. Reservations highly recommended walk- in allowed. Parking is a bit difficult to get and not very well lit. Locals and frequent visitors are well received, while as a first comer, i felt a little out of place. I will return, but only if I go early and with a reservation.
