One of the best pho and beef noodle shops in Philly. Every dish tastes authentically Vietnamese, unlike NYC Pho which tastes half Chinese and half Vietnamese. Bun Bo H has tendon and blood sausage. I wanted the BBH to be spicy but it was a bit too spicy, next time remember to make it less spicy ??. The waiters even asked if I wanted to eat steamed vegetables or raw vegetables, which made me miss Vietnam very easily

Food was delicious. Vermicelli beef bowl was incredible. My wife had a Bahn mi. Crunchy and delicious. Everyone was so friendly. Bathroom was very clean! Parking was rough. Plan accordingly. The place was busy. Small seating area. Great for couples. Larger parties may want to call? Not sure. Thank you! We will be back.

The food I have experienced here has been life-changing. I got the braised catfish stew on my first visit and omg. It made me cry? It reminded me of this dish I often craved from my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Atlanta, but it was a stew. I thought I would never experience that dish again, much less as a stew??? Earth-shaking, world-changing, wowowow. I also ordered spring rolls and have since come back to purchase the lemongrass barbeque bahnmi for myself and a friend. My friend gave a well-deserved round of applause upon finishing their bahnmi. Please check them out!

Hands down one of the best Bun Bo Hue you can get in Philly! The broth is so flavorful and authentic.
We came in on a Tuesday morning and it wasn’t too busy. The egg rolls and summer rolls were pretty good. The chicken wings were a bit bland in my opinion but everything else is amazing. Definitely will be back for more Bun Bo Hue

I first discovered cafe nhan years back on grubhub when they used to operate from a hole in a wall spot a few doors down. I was so happy to find a take-out/delivery vietnamese option to satisfy my cravings especially one that offered homestyle viet dishes such as thit kho trung. fast forward, their menu expanded and so has their location but the food never disappoints. Ms. Ngan can throw down in the kitchen and her current staff are always lovely and helpful. I typically go in for banh canh aka my hangover cure. Today I went in for congee with preserved egg & short rib and barely looked up as I devoured my meal. Cafe Nhan has quickly become a south philly gem that I would recommend to anyone visiting the city for delicious viet food.

Small shop and very friendly staff. It smells really good the moment you walk in. We ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, summer rolls, beef pho, banh mi and a bun bo hue with as little spice as possible. We just can't handle spice like that which is very tragic.
The iced coffee was so good and strong. My husband really enjoyed the banh mi and had to hold himself back from eating it all so that I could try it to. The bread was crispy and there was ample filling. The pho broth was nice and beefy and warming. It did feel fatty after drinking so much of it towards the end but that happens with beef broth. The bun bo hue was too spicy for me but still delicious! I really enjoyed the pork blood cubes and it's hard to find in a lot of restaurants so that made me really happy. Summer rolls were stuffed and very yummy. We ordered too much and had to take it to go. Overall highly recommend coming to Cafe Nhan and checking out their food! Super friendly staff and delicious food!

I had a fantastic experience at Cafe Nhan in South Philly! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and they kindly let me work at a table for a few hours without any interruptions—thank you for that! The service here is amazing, and the food comes out pretty fast.
We tried the lemongrass banh mi, which was absolutely delicious. The meat-to-bread ratio was perfect, and the bread was just right—crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Most places aren't as generous with the meat, but their banh mi tasted so fresh. We also ordered the summer rolls, which were fresh and tasted great, along with a side of soup, which I assume was pho broth—it was incredible! If it wasn’t so hot when we visited, I would have definitely tried their pho, as I've heard it's one of the best in Philly.
Huge shoutout to the staff for their exceptional service. I will definitely be back when I return to Philly!

Love the food that I really can’t wait to go back again. I had the catfish dish with pho on the side as well as chicken wings, and it was the best. The flavors were balanced. The pho soup was amazing and the spice and sweetness of the catfish was everything it definitely cleared a lot of congestion in my system . The Thai tea was awesome as well. Love the chili sauce that came with the wings as well
