Expectations did not meet reality. I'm shocked any restaurant would allow this quality of food to leave the kitchen. The pizza looked and tasted like it was cooked in a microwave over, not a wood oven. Thankfully we didn't have out of town guest. In 20+ year in the city, this was my least memorable experience. Do better!Tiramisu was good.

A lovely Italian restaurant where the waiters want to please every step of the way. The food is well-prepared and ample. A pleasure to dine here.

I was down and out in Philadelphia and needed directions. One of the cooks from Cafe Valentino talked to me for a minute. He also gave me his food (which was amazing). It was spicy pasta. I never made it into the restaurant but I did tell him that I would write a good review on Yelp. I wish I could thank him again because he had no idea how much it meant to me that he stood there and talked to me for a minute. Thank you again!!

Food was good, but nothing special. Portions were adequate I guess... not tiny but far from large. Expensive for what you get and for this reason I'd rather go to many other local restaurants first. Overall it's not a bad choice, but definitely over priced.

My husband I ate here last night and we ABSOLUTELY fell in love with the food and staff! We are new to the Philadelphia area and were recommended this restaurant by a co-worker! IT DELIVERED ON EVERY LEVEL AND DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We lived in Italy for 3 years while active duty military and comparatively speaking, Caffe Valentino has AMAZING AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine!!! We had great appetizers, my husband ordered this beautiful Veal Tomahawk Steak and I had the Salmon! Everything was so fresh! We were offered a superbly made house wine during dinner that complimented our dishes very well. The buca and other limoncello after dinner sealed the deal! The staff were so hospitable!! This is definitely our new happy place! If you are in the Philly area please check this restaurant out and plan to come and take your time to eat with friends or family to enjoy the experience. #FoodieChronicles

Great classic Italian specialties. I had the cavatelli with shrimp in a blush vodka sauce. Excellent. Classic Caesar was good, also. Sat outdoors on a nice day and it was a pleasant experience. Great service and cordial waitstaff.
