I was down and out in Philadelphia and needed directions. One of the cooks from Cafe Valentino talked to me for a minute. He also gave me his food (which was amazing). It was spicy pasta. I never made it into the restaurant but I did tell him that I would write a good review on Yelp. I wish I could thank him again because he had no idea how much it meant to me that he stood there and talked to me for a minute. Thank you again!!
Food was good, but nothing special. Portions were adequate I guess... not tiny but far from large. Expensive for what you get and for this reason I'd rather go to many other local restaurants first. Overall it's not a bad choice, but definitely over priced.
My husband I ate here last night and we ABSOLUTELY fell in love with the food and staff! We are new to the Philadelphia area and were recommended this restaurant by a co-worker! IT DELIVERED ON EVERY LEVEL AND DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We lived in Italy for 3 years while active duty military and comparatively speaking, Caffe Valentino has AMAZING AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine!!! We had great appetizers, my husband ordered this beautiful Veal Tomahawk Steak and I had the Salmon! Everything...
