It was my first time in Chestnut Hill and I passed by Cake, which looked really cute, so I decided to look them up. I wanted to place a takeout order, but since I didn’t see an option to order online, I called the store.
Unfortunately, the woman who answered the phone was very condescending. When I asked if they do pickup orders, she said yes. I then asked how to place one, and she responded with, “ummm… you call & place your order and then pick it up,” followed by a laugh. When I explained that I wasn’t sure if online ordering was an option, she simply said no.
I was genuinely interested in trying this place before that interaction, but customer service matters. I don’t feel comfortable spending my money somewhere that speaks to potential customers that way.

We've stopped by Cake in Chestnut Hill for some delicious Brunch! The restaurant is located in a converted Greenhouse and also offers baked pastries to go. We had the French Toast and Quiche and it was delicious! Service is fast and friendly. Would definitely stop by again!

The staff are always incredibly friendly no matter when I visit, and the food is consistently delicious. Instead of having a huge menu, they focus on a smaller selection of dishes that are healthy and full of flavor. I really appreciate the quality and care they put into their food.

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this gem! The food was delicious and the staff was kind, inviting and friendly! Our waitress has friends and family from our area back home so it was nice to have that connection with her! Highly recommend and we will be back for sure next time we visit the Philadelphia area!

Had a lovely brunch with my girlfriend. Love the ambience. Food was good. The whole area is a lot of fun to walk around and enjoy.
I ordered a custom cake for my mom’s birthday and it was perfect. When I ordered I hadn’t seen many reviews about their custom cakes and I’d never eaten at the restaurant so it was kind of a shot in the dark that turned out wonderfully!! The decoration was adorable and the cake itself was delicious. It was super moist, and the lemon cake with raspberry mousse was an amazing combination. My mom and the rest of the party goers loved it. And I have to mention that compared to many other bakeries, Cake’s product was high quality AND affordable, which is a hard combination to find. I highly recommend them.

It was great. I had the Belgian waffles and they were good. I went with friends who also have kids and they provided high-chairs. The staff was super friendly. A good experience overall.
