It's the worst place i have been to! They look at your pocket, and you have no importance other than your money. Poor customer service! On top of that, poor location.

My recent visit to Cantina La Martina, nestled in the vibrant and historic Kensington Street area of Philadelphia, was an exceptional dining experience. This gem, conveniently located just off the Market-Frankford line, is set against a backdrop of lively streets brimming with relaxed and cheerful locals. Among the many culinary delights, the birria tacos from their secret menu stood out, especially when paired with their habanero or mango-habanero hot sauce—the latter being a flawless fusion of heat and sweet that tantalized the taste buds like spicy candy. Not to be overlooked, the fondido was a masterclass in flavor, meltingly delicious and perfect for sharing. The rice and black beans, a seemingly simple side, were elevated to something extraordinary, while the elote was a must-try, bursting with flavor. Cantina La Martina is more than just a restaurant; it’s a vibrant celebration of Mexican cuisine, artfully blended with the unique spirit of Philadelphia's Kensington Street.

This might be the beat Mexican restaurant in Philadelphia if you want high quality authentic Mexican food. The food is amazing and so are the owners. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

The food here is absolutely amazing - some of the best tamales I've ever had, and everything on the menu is delicious! The restaurant went above and beyond on a catering order - fantastic service! When a delivery driver left most of the items behind, the manager came and delivered it herself, for which we are super grateful.

I'm not sure where to start. First, the restaurant is in the middle of Kensington, and my wife and I were worried as we walked there. People were shooting narcotics in the open. We arrived around 5:25 for our 5:30 reservation. As we stepped in, we were led to a back patio that was both wet, cold and loud with music; when I asked if we might sit inside, the host informed us that the management had placed us there. However, as we got in, there were lots of empty tables inside. I eventually left. I'm simply wondering what the point of a reservation is if you have to sit outside. I was quite disappointed by the staff's lack of professionalism. I would not recommend anyone going because safety is a major concern while visiting this restaurant, regardless of how excellent the food is.

This was some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I was hesitant to go here because of the location, but once you make it in you forget where you are. I would highly recommend checking it out. Our server was also really quick and tentative!

OMG! This was the best Mexican food I have had in years. I had a pastor burrito and elote, the flavors did not disappoint. This brings me back to living in Texas. I highly recommend, service over the phone was exception and my bf picked up my order and said the staff and environment were great!! Thank you!!

Ordered delivery and I feel like I was punished for doing so. I got the pozole ramen which was honestly forgettable (also not ramen it was over cooked spaghetti). But the true error was the egg that came with it was expired (I still have it incase mgmt wants to reach out I have no problem dropping it off). In addition the shrimp tacos were BLANDDDD severely underseasoned and the tortillas were very dry. Second time trying will not be returning.

I did a pick up order and when I got there I was ignored. I waited 5 minutes and literally had to block the waiter way to finally be acknowledged. I obviously was not important and felt judged and racially judged. Then when I stopped the waiter she said I just noticed the pick up order after I ordered 30 minutes ago. If I haven’t paid already I would’ve just walked out after being ignored. It’s embarrassing especially when the people in there just stare at you to like you don’t belong there.
